Please join us in welcoming our ShinShinim Keren and Ori to Jewish Charlotte!

ShinShinim are young Israeli emissaries who spend a year building relationships and sharing Israeli culture and experiences with Jewish communities around the world before beginning their military service.

Throughout the coming year, you'll see them in schools, youth programs, and at community events, where they'll help foster meaningful connections between Jewish Charlotte and Israel.

We're excited for our community to get to know them. Be sure to give them a warm welcome in the comments!

A new school year brings new teachers, new routines, and new opportunities to advocate for what your child needs.

Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) has gathered resources to help Jewish families start the year informed, prepared, and supported, including:

📌 A Jewish holiday calendar to share with teachers and administrators
📌 Guidance for navigating religious accommodations
📌 Resources for talking with schools and children about Judaism and Israel
📌 Tools for responding to and reporting antisemitism
📌 Local school district policies and parent resources

Our JCRC works year-round with schools and community leaders to help ensure Jewish students feel safe, respected, and understood.
