Next up in our Pastor Appreciation series is Rusty, our Executive Pastor! Rusty has a servant’s heart and is always ready to serve our church family, and if you’re around him for long, you can probably expect a riddle, pun, or joke thrown into the mix!

Here are a few things you may not know about him:

Still thinking about worship from yesterday.

“When the music fades and all is stripped away, and I simply come…”

At the end of the day, it’s not about the music, the setlist, or the perfect Sunday. It’s about coming before Jesus just as we are, with open hearts ready to meet with Him.

What an honor it is to worship together, turn our hearts toward Him, and be reminded of what matters most.

It's Pastor Appreciation Month!

This month, we’re celebrating five people who faithfully lead, serve, pray, encourage, and pour into our Pritchard Church family:

Chris • Rusty • John • Grace • Melissa

Thank you for all you do, both seen and unseen. So much of ministry happens behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for the ways you faithfully care for our church family week after week.

Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting each of them and giving you a chance to know them better!

And don’t just celebrate them here! Send a card, shoot them a text, give them a hug, or take a moment to let them know how much you appreciate them. A simple word of encouragement can mean more than you know.

Sometimes we try to make God a little more comfortable.

We sterilize our understanding of Him. We make Him safer. More digestible. Easier to explain.

But when we look at the Old Testament, we encounter Yahweh. A God who is wild, powerful, mysterious… and completely good.

And then we meet that same God in the person of Jesus Christ.

Maybe God isn’t meant to fit neatly into the boxes we create for Him. Maybe He’s meant to transform the way we see everything.

Sit with this question: Have we made God too comfortable?
