OUR HISTORY: The Recovery Church was founded on Jan. 9, 1994 in Charlotte, NC, primarily for the purpose of helping "Recovering Persons" bridge the gap between "Recovery" and "Christianity", making it possible for both to be important parts of their ongoing "Spiritual Walk". Yet we are aware of the fact that everyone is recovering from something (losses, hurts, disappointments, fears). As a result

, we now have people coming from a variety of backgrounds. Most are in some form of Recovery Program, though several are not. We believe the Bible is both "The Word of God", & the source from which the principles of the 12 steps were taken. We also believe that God will "meet you where you are Spiritually"; will accept you and love you unconditionally; and is in the process of leading us all to becoming truly Happy, Joyous, and Free through His AMAZING GRACE.
