Myers Park Covenant

Myers Park Covenant We are a faith community on a journey seeking a welcoming, loving, and just world.

For over 80 years, Myers Park Covenant Church (fka Myers Park Baptist) has been the vanguard of progressive Christianity in the city of Charlotte and in the world. At Myers Park Covenant Church, our mission is to cultivate an inclusive community for spirituality and justice, and we envision a new world where absolutely everyone lives in Godโ€™s liberation and peace. Our mission is further summarized

by the following four words, inclusivity, community, spirituality, justice, which guide everything we do as a church.

Change is never just change. It is also loss.

Even the changes we choose require us to let go of what once was. Before we can embrace something new, we often need to grieve what has passed. This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Tim Moore begins a new sermon series, "The Grief and Power of Change." Listen here:

We're excited to be part of the 5th Annual Union County Pride Festival, and we'd love to see you there!

Come celebrate a day of community, connection, entertainment, local vendors, and pride. Be sure to stop by the Myers Park Covenant Church booth, where we'll be sharing free swag, meeting festival-goers, and extending a warm welcome to all.

We're also looking for volunteers to serve in shifts throughout the day. If you'd like to represent MPCOV, help greet attendees, hand out giveaways, and share the spirit of our inclusive faith community, we'd love to have you join us.

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Get Your MOJO On by Getting Out the Vote!
Our Mojo team is partnering with the League of Women Voters in a nonpartisan effort to encourage civic participation and voter engagement. Already, 23 congregants have written nearly 700 postcards, representing 12% of the League's total campaign!
Now we're teaming up with six Charlotte churches to help with voter registration, community canvassing, and transportation to the polls.
Want to make a difference? Contact Paula Fricke and join the effort. Every voice matters. Every vote counts.

Even the changes we choose require us to let go of what once was. Before we can embrace something new, we often need to grieve what has passed.

This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Tim Moore begins a new sermon series, The Grief and Power of Change, by exploring Elijah's journey from despair to hope. When everything familiar seemed to be falling apart, Elijah discovered that God was still present, not in the wind or the fire, but in the silence, calling him toward a new future.

Part 1 of The Grief and Power of Change.

๐Ÿ“– 1 Kings 19:7โ€“15, 18

Join us for worship at 10 a.m. in person or online.

Immediately following worship, continue the conversation at Sermon Talk Back, a beloved tradition where questions, insights, and real-world connections are welcomed in an open and thoughtful discussion.

As autumn begins, youโ€™re invited to slow down, find stillness, and make space for reflection at our seasonal Taizรฉ Prayer Service.

Gather with us in the Chapel for a peaceful 45-minute service centered around silence, readings, prayer, meditative songs, and Communion.

In the midst of busy days and changing seasons, come experience a quiet space to reconnect with God, yourself, and community.
