What a beautiful and joyful evening for Our Lady of Consolation! 💙

On Thursday, September 3, we gathered as a parish family for the Installation Mass of Rev. Marcel Amadi, EdD, PhD, as Pastor of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, celebrated by the Most Reverend Michael T. Martin, OFM Conv., Bishop of Charlotte.

We are so grateful for Father Marcel and the love, faith and dedication he has already poured into our parish. We give thanks to God for calling him to continue this journey with us and for the blessing of knowing that OLC is a place he can call home.

As we begin this new chapter together, we look ahead with hope for all God has in store for Father Marcel and our parish. May the Lord continue to guide his ministry, give him wisdom and strength and bless the work we will do together as one parish family.

Father Marcel, we are grateful for you, we are praying for you and we are blessed to officially welcome you as our Pastor. May Our Lady of Consolation continue to watch over you and our parish in the years ahead. 🙏🏾💙

We would like to congratulate our fellow parishioners Robin Ellis, Jennifer Udom, David Nettles and Mikayla Brooke as they received the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation today during mass.

May this beautiful day mark the beginning of an even deeper journey with Christ and His Church. May the Holy Spirit strengthen you, the Eucharist nourish you, and God’s grace guide you always.

Also, we would like that thank Father Darlington from Spain who joined us today for both masses, please visit us again!

Congratulations to our very own parishioner Sergio Miranda, who received an award at the 144th Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus for outstanding leadership as State Deputy of North Carolina! Continue being the great steward you are and may God continue blessing you!

OLC would like to applaud our own parishioner, Ms. Essie Walker again on her historic installation in Iowa as she was installed as the first African American woman to serve as National Regent of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas!
