Mesa Global Our Mission:
Equipping servant leaders with
the Church for God’s mission.

10/23/2026

When a change in his family’s financial circumstances threatened to interrupt his theological education, a Mesa Global scholarship made it possible for Jhohan to continue his studies.

Today, Jhohan is helping open those same doors for others. Through his expertise in online learning, he has helped more than 20 institutions across 15 countries expand access to theological education.

Along the way, Jhohan has seen firsthand that the impact of equipping one leader extends far beyond the classroom. As leaders are equipped, they strengthen churches that bring the love of Jesus into their communities.

At Mesa Global, we believe theological education is about more than earning a degree or preparing for a career. It's about equipping leaders who will help the global Church flourish for generations to come.

When a student is equipped to lead, or a seminary is strengthened in its ability to teach and train, the impact extends far beyond the classroom. It reaches churches, communities, and future generations of believers.

That's why we invest in theological education around the world through:

🎒 Scholarships: Helping students at partner institutions access theological education and pursue God's calling on their lives.

📚 Institutional Partnerships: Walking alongside 130+ partner seminaries to strengthen their faculty, programs, and capacity to equip future leaders.

👩🏻‍🏫 Mesa Scholars: Placing mission-minded theological educators in seminaries around the world to invest in students, strengthen institutions from within, and build lasting partnerships.

Because when we invest in theological education, we're investing in the future of the global Church.

40+ years of partnership. One shared mission. 🌍

This past week, our Global Training team traveled to Texas for Missions Month at The Woodlands Methodist Church, a faithful partner of Mesa Global for more than four decades.

Since the beginning of our partnership, TWMC has shared our heart for theological education, student scholarships, and equipping global church leaders. Over the years, that commitment has been reflected in countless prayers, generous support, and warm hospitality extended to Mesa leaders from around the world.

This week was an opportunity to celebrate that shared history and express our gratitude to those who have faithfully invested in global leaders for decades. Together, we reflected on what God is doing around the world, the challenges facing the global church, and the ways ministry continues to take shape in places affected by conflict.

To The Woodlands Methodist Church, thank you for more than 40 years of faithful partnership. We are grateful for the many ways you have come alongside global leaders, and we look forward to all God will continue to do through this shared mission.

On Monday, we had the privilege of gathering in Charlotte, North Carolina, with friends and partners of Mesa Global, alongside Mesa leaders from around the world.

Panelists from Colombia, the Philippines, and South Asia shared what it looks like to serve amid a growing global leadership gap. As the global Church continues to grow, so does the need for well-equipped leaders who can faithfully serve their churches and communities. Our panelists offered a glimpse into both the challenges and opportunities they see in their contexts—and the ways they are seeing the hope of Jesus at work in the midst of them.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and to our friends at Project 658 for welcoming us and hosting this gathering.

As we seek to see a flourishing church in every place embodying Jesus’ love for every person, we are grateful for opportunities like this to come around the table—to listen, learn, and consider how we can faithfully serve the global Church together.

What does it look like to serve a community you deeply understand because it’s the place you call home?

For Pastor Jectone Ayub in Kenya, it looks like showing up—visiting homes, mentoring young people, counseling families, studying Scripture together, and investing in emerging leaders who can carry the work forward.

With theological training supported through Mesa Global, Jectone is becoming better equipped to serve the people already around him—and to equip others to do the same.

His story is a reminder of the power of investing in local leaders who know their communities, understand their challenges, and are committed to walking alongside them for the long haul.
