Called to love God, one another, and serve community. We welcome all who want to deepen their faith or are curious about Christianity. All welcome.

We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and believe that we’re made whole through the grace of Jesus Christ. MORE: We are a community of people eager to grow our faith spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. We grapple with God’s Word, try to understand God’s plans for our lives, find comfort in God’s grace, and celebrate the joy of God’s love. Avondale Children's Center 704-377-6960

How it’s going ➡️ How it started

Today, we delivered backpacks and snack bags to our neighbors at Sedgefield Middle School, where the school’s social worker will distribute them to students who could use a little extra support.

And just a few days ago? Our Sunday school kiddos were busy putting them all together as part of our Dedication Sunday celebrations.

Because Dedication Sunday was never just about what we give to the church. It’s about our dedication to the community we’re called to serve.

That’s a wrap on Dedication Sunday!

This morning, we gathered in worship to remember Jesus’s words: “Blessed are the poor… Blessed are those who mourn… Blessed are the peacemakers.”

But we didn’t just hear those words; we put them into practice. After sharing a meal together, we branched out into small group service projects benefiting our nonprofit partners—even spending the afternoon watching football with our neighbors at Kings on Lamar.

Because the promises of Jesus aren’t just words to hear. They’re words to live by.

Get your overalls ready, Avondale! Dedication Sunday is right around the corner.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 18, as we put our faith (and our hands) to work. We’ll begin in worship by dedicating our pledge cards, gather around the table for a congregational luncheon in the Fellowship Hall, and then roll up our sleeves for service projects throughout our campus!

Sign up for a service project in this week’s E-News.

You know it's a good Sunday when the music keeps going long after worship ends.

This morning, our children led us in worship. Then, just a few hours later, the music continued at The Kings on Lamar, Roof Above’s newest housing facility for men facing homelessness.

What a joyful Sunday of worship, both within and beyond our walls.
