This Sunday! Join us as we get together, dine on grilled burgers and hot dogs, and welcome the summer season to Sharon in the courtyard! We’ll provide all the grilled items and fixins, just bring a side and/or dessert.

You’ll want to dress comfortably and bring a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on. Food items can be dropped off in the Charles Little Building kitchen before worship, and you can set up your area under the shade of the oak trees then. If it rains, we’ll eat in the Charles Little Gym.

What a delicious way to kick off summer and connect with one another in Christ!

Volunteers needed to set up tables and chairs before the 10:30 worship service.

Our Children’s Sabbath worship service was a joyful celebration of the unique gifts children bring to our community and the ways they inspire and encourage us all. Through play-doh and puppets, along with bubbles and doodles, the service was filled with creativity, wonder, and a variety of expressions of faith. Children's Sabbath is a dynamic and engaging service that reminds us to see the world with curiosity and joy, just as children do!

“Sharing the joy of Christ” is a vibrant part of our new mission statement, and we’re excited to share a new expression of that joy by renovating the Charles Little Activity Building (CLAB) lobby and restrooms to make them more inviting and hospitable.

Please prayerfully support “Rehab the CLAB” through giving and prayer for our Property Committee. Contribute by March 31, 2026, online at sharonpcusa.org/giving (Fund: Rehab the CLAB) or by check (memo: “Rehab the CLAB”).

Retreat Recap! 41 members of SPC gathered in Montreat to step away from daily routines and recharge mind, body, and spirit. Centered on the theme Come to the Water.

Through worship, shared meals, laughter, and unhurried conversation, relationships deepened across ages and stages of life. Some hiked scenic trails, others explored nearby towns, rested with friends, or embraced quiet moments of reflection. There was freedom to play, to pray, and to simply to be.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this weekend a meaningful and joy-filled time of renewal! Let the countdown begin for next year...

Due to a winter storm warning and extreme cold watch issued by the National Weather Service, along with the significant snowfall expected this weekend, we are canceling worship services and all campus activities scheduled for this weekend, including the Chili Cook-off.

Any updates regarding rescheduled events will be shared as they become available.

As we did last weekend, a prerecorded morning prayer service will be shared Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. on our YouTube channel and at sharonpcusa.org/live.

Please take care, stay safe, and stay warm.

As the weather forecast for this weekend continues to develop, one consistent concern has been icy conditions on Sunday morning. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for everyone’s safety, we have decided to cancel all church activities for this Sunday, January 25.

To ensure we can still worship together, we have adapted and pre-recorded our Evening Prayer service, which will be broadcast at our regular worship time of 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. We hope you will find this offering meaningful and will consider joining us for future Evening Prayer services held in the chapel.

You may tune in by visiting our YouTube channel or sharonpcusa.org/live.

If additional church activities next week are affected by the weather, updates will be shared via email, Facebook, and Instagram.

🌊 WATER YOU DOING February 6-8?

It is beneficial to get away occasionally to recharge our minds, bodies, and spirits, and our church retreat offers the perfect opportunity to do just that. For the first weekend in February, Sharon Presbyterian will gather in Montreat for a church-wide retreat centered on the theme Come to the Water. The weekend will include intergenerational worship, play, hiking, shopping, quiet reflection, and time to relax with friends.

Register today! Only four rooms remain available, and registration will close on January 29th. Click the link in our bio to sign up now.
