The current President of the Board of Bishops of the A.M.E. Zion Church, Bishop Brian R Thompson Sr. ., is calling for a Connectional Week of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance. We support his Initiative and invite you to join us on our Daily 7 A.M. Prayer Line for our Revival! Please pray that souls will be saved! Please pray that lives will be transformed in the powerful name of JESUS! Please feel free to join us on our Prayer Line Zoom on September 2-6. at 7 A.M. We will conclude the Revival by joining the entire A.M.E. Zion Church for a sacred moment of renewal and commitment. The Wesleyan Covenant Service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. EST across Zion’s digital platforms. This service is a powerful opportunity for us to come together as one body, moving from church mentality to kingdom mentality, as we seek GOD’S direction! Major Appreciation for Bishop Eric Leake , Bishop Brian R. Thompson, Sr., Bishop Darryl B. Starnes, Sr., Bishop W. The Piedmont Episcopal District is proud to share that Bishop Starnes, who currently serves as Chairman of the Wesleyan Commission on Evangelism and as Secretary of Evangelism for the North American Section of the World Methodist Council shared in ACCRA!! In these significant leadership roles, Bishop Starnes brings vision, dedication, and a deep commitment to advancing the mission of evangelism across denominational and global lines. His work reflects both the historic witness and the forward-looking spirit as he serves as the Senior Bishop of the AME Zion Church, ensuring that the message of the Gospel continues to reach lives and communities worldwide. Bishop Starnes has often shared, “It is both a privilege and a sacred responsibility to serve in these roles. I am deeply committed to lifting up the work of evangelism, equipping the Church to boldly share the message of Jesus Christ, and fostering collaboration among our Wesleyan and Methodist family across the globe.”

We celebrate Bishop Starnes for his faithful service and leadership, and we recognize the profound impact he is making through these vital appointments in the Council. He most recently traveled to Accra in Ghana, West Africa in the month of August, 2025.

Our beloved Senior Bishop and Presiding Prelate Darryl B. Starnes, Sr., is attending the World Methodist Council Steering Committee Meeting in Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭 ! We thank God for the ecumenism of our Senior Bishop, as he continues to lead our beloved Church. We pray safe travels as he returns home soon!
