A moment of reflective gratitude: In reading a devotional this morning a powerful sentence caught my attention. "Focus on what we have not what we lack." To focus on what we have takes concentrated effort. It takes a committed decision and an intentional made up mind to become more grateful for everything we have even the small things some may deem insignificant. If we are still able to speak we have the ability and power to make our words count. If we are hurting we have the ability to proclaim our healing and move accordingly in that direction. If we are tired we can make the sacred decision to make self care a top priority in our lives. Whatever it takes we all have the choice to focus on what we have vs what we don't. In doing so we'll see we have much more than we may have once thought.

1 Minute Motivation

Do not attach yourself to anything that steals your peace joy or happiness. Let you mean more to yourself; that you do not allow things that threaten, or tries to steal these very precious gifts we have been graced to have.

Far too often we as people attach ourselves to things, feelings (emotions), places, even people that have stolen or threatens to steal one of our most precious gifts-Us. When this happens we no longer feel the presence of peace, the halo of our happiness, and the jovial joy that is ours. In this new season of self exploration, healing, laughing, or whatever; do not allow anything or anyone to attach itself to you that brings anything contrary to where you desire to go or what you desire to feel. Let you mean more to you than ever before.

Take some time out to explore your gifts & talents and see what becomes of them. Explore the art of self care and watch how good you'll begin to feel when doing so. Explore repeating positive words/sentences/phrases to yourself and watch how they begin to change your Outlook about your life. 1 Minute Motivation: There are so many things in this world calling for our attention. Many of these things come with a price tag attached to them. The price determines what we think about ourselves, how we view ourselves, and even what we are speaking to and over ourselves. This is not a season for us to get distracted by the enticing trinkets the world offers us. This is a monumental moment for us to continue to allow the word of God to lead us as we hold onto His promises and believe the best about ourselves. Let the Word lead you and not the world. Blessings!!!

1-Minute Moment:

Take time to breathe everyday. Inhale the fresh air, exhale the junk, drink a cup of coffee or tea, or just soak in a tub filled with lavender, vanilla, or peppermint oils. Everyday we have a choice to let the circumstances, issues, the problems or trials of life take us to a place that does not add to the joy and peace we could have. As these things come about we can and have the power within to step back and say not today; then change course in order to do whatever is necessary to keep our unity with the peace and joy that is rightfully ours. Take care of you, love on you, and by all means appreciate who you are. Remember do not wear yourself out doing too much, taking care of everyone, or wondering about problems we need to give to God and wait for Him to give us the answer to. Self care is a way of learning the importance of appreciating oneself.

***1 Minute Motivation***

It is ok to cheer for yourself!!

So often we cheer for others. We cheer for our children, our friends, our family, even people we don't know (look at how much cheering goes on when a football game is on.) But how often do we take a moment and cheer for ourselves? We do ourselves a disservice when we neglect to cheer for our steps towards those things we are doing and need in our lives. Take a break look at what you are doing, desire to do and cheer for yourself. It is perfectly ok to tell yourself "you've got this," " don't stop keep going," "go go go," " you are doing magnificent/great," or whatever will keep you going. Remember do not allow what you have gone through cause you to neglect caring for yourself. If you believe you can or it can happen for you then always make cheering for yourself a priority (you are worth it.)

Today is a new day, a new month, a new time to create opportunities to love on yourself, to empower yourself, and to command your day so that you allow your true authentic self to shine through.

Starting today and twice a week we will have 1 minute motivation. Whatever the day brings remember you have the power within to command your day to not allow the day to command how you see yourself and your life. Blessings upon blessings to you!

Today I am grateful for the honor & privilege of being grateful. Life come with unpleasantness, uncertainties, and an entire host of other things that may cause one to focus on instead of focusing on something to be grateful about. Finding something to be grateful for helps one to acknowledge that although I may be going through something I have the power to not allow myself to get stuck there. It also helps one with the healing process, as it gives one the opportunity to recognize they are still here to stand fight and be courageous in spite of all they have gone through. There are more than enough things we can gripe about, but remember there are more than enough things we can find to be grateful for. Find those things and hold fast to them.

I am grateful for the privilege and opportunity to be my authentic self! Psalm 139:13-14

Have you every idealized someone else so much that you tried to imitate who they are? If so you may have found that very exhausting. Being your true authentic self allows one to understand acknowledge, tap into, and embrace the uniqueness of who they are. Being ones authentic self takes one on a journey of self respect and self love while honoring the fact that who you are is more than enough. It is ok to admire someone else but it is never okay to loose who you are, whom you are created to be, or step outside of your creativity in order to be someone other than yourself. Remember to always embrace, empower, and encourage the authentic jewel you are and never loose sight of your worth, value, and the uniqueness you bring to the world.

I am grateful for the love I give to myself.

For many loving ourselves come in many different forms and in different ways. The way I love myself may not look the same as the way you love yourself. However at the end of the day can you look back and say today I did something for me. Remember loving yourself does not have to be a big announcement you invite the world to know about. It can be as small as investing in your self belief by positively reinforcing how you view yourself by speaking words of encouragement, empowerment, that affords you the opportunity to enjoy your life. Do not allow a day to end without showing yourself some love, after all you deserve it. (This type of love is not puffed up or arrogant, this type of self love reveals a humble gentle nature that says it's okay to love myself because I am worth it.)
