Looking for some summer reads? 📚☀️ Providence UMC's Community Little Library is ready for you! Stop by, take a book (or two!), and enjoy sharing with family and friends. Books for all ages are available, and while replacing a book isn’t required, it's always appreciated. You’ll find the library in the middle of our lower parking lot.

Many thanks to Franklin Tyner, the Scout who created this library for his Eagle Scout project. We are also grateful for the many volunteers (pictured) who are keeping the library tidy and stocked!

Memorial Day 🇺🇸 We are deeply grateful for the sacrifice, courage, and service of all veterans.

Last week, many gathered for a special Memorial Day program hosted by Providence UMC’s Connections in Christ and Families & Friends of Veterans ministries. Together, we honored and remembered members of our church family who gave so much in service to our country through a meaningful time of reflection and music.

🥎 Men’s Church Softball will return in a couple of weeks 🥎

Join us for a summer of fun, fellowship, and competition with neighboring churches! Games begin June 1 and are played on Mondays and Fridays through early August. Even if you can’t make every game, we’d still love to have you on the team.

It’s thrilling to share that, through your incredible generosity, more than $49,000 was raised for the Clean Water Challenge for Haiti!

We are deeply grateful to the individuals and Sunday school classes who so faithfully and compassionately supported this mission. Special thanks to Gayle and Ann Wylie and their families for initiating the challenge and providing a $6,000 matching gift, bringing the total raised to more than $55,000. Thanks to Mary Lou Cagle and her dedication to sharing this opportunity with the congregation.

With each well costing approximately $3,000 to build, your generosity will help provide around 18 new wells in Haiti - bringing clean water to countless individuals in need.

Your overwhelming response is a beautiful example of our mission “to be the growing body of Christ, glorifying God and serving others.” Thank you!

Encore Choir is currently in the midst of their annual Spring Concert Tour. The concert consists of delightful music from Disney Classics (like Cinderella, Mary Poppins, The Lion King) and the Wizard of Oz!

On April 30, Encore Choir sang for residents at Briar Creek at the Barclay at South Park. May 7, they sang for the Providence UMC Weekday School and then later in the day for residents at the Ivey. The residents at the Cyress will get to hear the concert at the Stewart Health Center on May 14.
