We’re here to equip & empower young adults to find and follow God, and ignite their passion & purpose. ���
We offer a variety of Life Groups and Mentoring that helps people connect with a positive community! Sea Turtle Ministries is a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry for college students and young professionals ages 18-early 30’s, built by the community, for

the community. Our core mission is helping people find and follow God and discover and walk out their passion and purpose. We do this through partnering with local ministries and missions to reach the next generation, providing mentoring, weekly meetings, monthly prayer and praise gatherings, and hold events and fundraisers to benefit our community. We currently are raising funds to build Charleston’s first non-profit coffeehouse- with 100% of the profits going to partner with groups working to alleviate poverty and homelessness. We would love for you to get involved, make a difference, and help us launch Sea Turtle Cafe. After all, life is meant to be lived together.

is our campus outreach program where we serve over 200 college students weekly! We bring Jesus’ unconditional love to campus in the form of free flowers, treats, hugs, therapy dogs, support, and encouragement from local moms, dads, and grandparents. We need YOUR help to come serve these students weekly! 💙

Our message to college students is this: “You MATTER, and the moms and dads of Charleston are here for you!”

New LIFE group update ✨We’ve recently launched a Women’s LIFE Group for college seniors and recent grads!

They are studying Acts, a book of the Bible focused on the spread of the Gospel, the early church, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Through this study, these young women are learning what it means to be disciples of Jesus, the importance of sharing God’s word, and what it looks like to rely on the Holy Spirit. We want to help make disciple-makers who boldly proclaim the Gospel, even in the face of opposition!

Hey Turtle Tribe! Here’s a glimpse into our Serve Day with the Navigation Center last week! We had a blast handing out food, sharing laughs, and praying together. 🙏🏼

We also got our hands dirty cleaning up litter in our city! How amazing would it be if we had a city-wide cleanup? Imagine how many bags of trash we’d fill and how much more beautiful our downtown Charleston would be! Let’s make it happen! 🐢💙

Hey turtle tribe! We’ve been having an amazing time hosting monthly pop-up events for college students, connecting them with community, Jesus, and planting seeds of faith, hope, and love in their hearts!

On November 21st, we threw a “Thank-mas” party with a handful of students, making gratitude jars, decorating cookies, eating pizza, and watching Elf!We reflected on what we’re thankful for and kicked off the holiday season together!

Then, on February 19th, we hosted our “Spread the Love” event! Together we made Valentine’s Day cards for those needing some extra love, decorated cookies, played games, enjoyed pizza, and even got to pray with several students!

Thank you for your continued support, because of YOU we are able to host events like these, making a significant impact on college students lives!

Join us for a heartwarming evening of crafting encouraging cards for friends, family, and strangers in our community who could use a little extra love this season! We will provide:

They are distributing Publix gift cards to families and individuals in need in the Charleston area. They will be hosting an event at their downtown location and need volunteers to greet clients with good cheer and assist with logging client information into their database. Your service would be greatly appreciated and incredibly helpful!

This we want to celebrate our sweet Jacquayle!

Jacquayle is a passionate community servant with a heart to see the church come together as ONE body!

She holds a business degree from The University of Alabama and has a strong passion for project management and developing processes which supports nonprofits like us and helps Sea Turtle ministries thrive! Since moving to Charleston, she’s fallen in love with the Low Country and helping the community!

When she is not working, you can find Jacquayle dancing, teaching fitness classes .chs, hanging out with friends, or cheering on her Crimson Tide on game days!

We are so grateful for Jacquayle’s heart for service and dedication to making our ministry mission stronger and reach more people!

As Halloween approaches, many of us find ourselves surrounded by symbols of darkness. While this season can be fun and festive, it also serves as a reminder of the spiritual battles we face in this world and the importance of protecting our hearts, minds and bodies.

This verse reminds us that while Halloween may seem like a cute celebration, our true battle is spiritual. As we prepare our hearts, let’s focus on the light that overcomes the darkness.

In this season, remember John 8:12 that Jesus Christ is the light in our lives and in the world. Spend time in prayer and scripture, seeking his guidance and strength, asking God for spiritual discernment during Halloween.

We are called apart from the world. Consider beginning new traditions this season that honor God and don’t open the doors to the enemy.

Dear Lord, as we enter this season that often celebrates darkness, help us to remember Your light. May we find strength in Your love and courage in our faith. Equip us to face any challenges of this world with hearts full of gratitude and service. Amen.

This Turtle Tribe Member Monday we want you to meet our Board member and team member, Marit Barber!

Marit is passionate about empowering women to experience the freedom that Jesus offers. She holds her masters in social work with an expertise in program development, and is a core part of our ministry!

When she’s not working for Sea Turtle Ministries, she loves to travel, stay active, visit the mountains, and spend time with her golden retrievers, Scout and Sully! She’s also a full-time wedding and portrait photographer!

We’re so grateful to have you on our team, Marit! Thank you for everything you do— you are impacting so many lives! 💙
