Last week for Formation we were blessed to go visit the students at St. John's Catholic School! We got the opportunity to share our own experiences as Missionaries and talked to the students about their own callings to share Jesus' story.

“Rejoice and be glad that so great and good a Lord, on coming into the virgin’s womb, willed to appear despised, needy, and poor in this world, so that men who were in dire poverty and in great need of heavenly nourishment might be made rich in Him.”
-St. Clare of Assisi

Hey there! My name is Madeline Baniewicz. I’m from Atchison, Kansas, which you’ve probably never heard of unless you know Benedictine! I graduated in May from Benedictine College (go ravens) with a degree in Evangelization & Catechesis. I love watching a good movie or show on a rainy day, but catch me outside on a hike or a walk on the beach in my free time. God has always been one to reveal himself to me through nature, which sparked my love for the outdoors. I’ve been a dancer since I was 3 years old & have played sports for a large portion of my life. If you ever offer me a coffee you automatically will be my new best friend!! I’ll have coffee anytime of the day!

Mac & cheese is meant to be enjoyed with a fork where you have the choice to either stab it or scoop it, depends on your vibes that day.

Hi! I’m Antoinette Hanning, originally I’m from Arizona but I spent the past few years in North Dakota at the University of Mary getting my degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Yes, the weather change was harsh so I’m extremely happy to be back in the South part of the country! Growing up my parents showed me the value of serving the Catholic Church and instilled a love in me for youth ministry. This past Summer I served as a Totus Tuus missionary with the Diocese of Charlotte where I heard about the DMT. On my free days you’ll probably find me walking around Downtown Charleston taking photos and let’s be honest, sweating from the humidity. If I’m not outside, I enjoy exploring social media trends, developing marketing ideas and creating digital content.
I’m very passionate about my faith, boba, the game Fluxx and corny movies.

I find great inspiration in the fact that Blessed Miguel Pro said, “We ought to speak, shout out against injustices, with confidence and without fear.” So in the midst of all these fork users I choose to proclaim the truth…Mac and Chese is supposed to be eaten with a spoon!

My name is Patrick O’Sullivan and I was born and raised in Southeast, Texas. I am a student of Texas A&M University (Whoop!) studying business and HR. I am a cradle Catholic but fell in love with the Catholic Church when I was in high school. After high school I served as a missionary for 3 years throughout 32 different states and I am glad to be making South Carolina holy number 33! I’m an avid burger consumer, and my favorite breed of dog is Chows, but specifically mine named Bear.

Should Macaroni and cheese be eaten with a spoon or a fork?

Mac and Cheese should at each moment beest consumed with a fork. It tis just worketh that way. Forks can scoop, and forks can stab. These art the two noble forms of engagement a utensil should beest having with mac and cheese. The fork can doth both, a spoon cannot stab. So, the answer to the question is fork, as God intended it to beest.

Hello, my name is Christian Badilla. I'm from San Francisco, California born and raised. My life changed drastically from working in I.T. at law firms and cutting hair on the side. Leaving it all behind and the comfort of living at home to follow where God calls me. For the previous two years, I was a seminarian and transition out to do missionary work. On my down time, I love to skateboard, make music, and being out with friends socializing. Im happy to be part of this diocese and see how God puts me to use.

I eat make and cheese with a fork cause it’s right way and the only way, don’t @ me
