But Fr. Jordan is at the Church of the Holy Communion and will be celebrating a Said Mass at 10:00 this morning.

If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe driving today, please take care and stay home. But if you feel like venturing out, Church is open!

SNOW! Sometimes it happens!

Due to the forecast of 1 - 3 inches of snow in the Charleston area Saturday night into Sunday morning, plus the single-digit windchill temperatures predicted, we are choosing to err on the side of caution.

The 8:00 AM Mass and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Classes will be CANCELLED this Sunday, February 1st.

At this time, we anticipate a Mass to be said at 10:00 AM, although it might be more of a Low Mass than the sung High Mass we are accustomed to in that time slot.

We do NOT want anyone to risk life & limb to get here on Sunday, if the weather is bad, if the roads are treacherous, or if you just don't feel comfortable driving in such uncommon conditions, please stay home! Your safety is paramount to us.

We will send updates regarding this information over the next couple of days. Even as late as Sunday morning, please watch for our updates.

* There will be a Low Mass for the Feast of the Presentation (Candlemas) on Monday, February 2nd, at 6:00 PM. If you are unable to attend on Sunday, please come on Monday evening.

CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER GROUP AT THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY COMMUNION, CHARLESTON
Every Thursday at 6:00 PM, the Church of the Holy Communion, located at 218 Ashley Avenue in downtown Charleston, hosts a contemplative prayer group with an emphasis on centering prayer. In addition to silent prayer, the group reads together related texts and offers time for discussion. All are welcome to come and join in on this prayerful time in the sanctuary.
