Good day church. It’s that time of the year again, Hurricane season. Howard and I spoke Monday concerning bible study / worship services on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Out of an abundance of caution we’ve concluded it’s in everyone’s best interest to cancel services for that evening “only.” Hurricane Idalia’s effects are expected to be the strongest Wednesday late afternoon through Thursday morning. Please inform any you may know, without internet access, about this situation. If anything changes we will post updates here and on the church webpage.

The Mayor of Charleston has asked everyone to stay off of roadways for their own safety and the safety of first responders. Just in case you don’t know there are tidal creeks all along Highway 17 (Savannah Highway). These will be affected by the blue moon tide expected in conjunction with the normal high tide. These conditions, when combined, that evening will cause excessive flooding.
