The Spirit was ushered in by Rev. Charlene Williams, Pastor of Larry Temple CME Church, as our Worship Leader, and Vanderhorst Memorial CME Church was taken to higher heights during today’s worship service!
Elder Kennith Johnson, Sr. delivered an impactful and powerful message entitled, “I’m About to Encourage Myself,”taken from Galatians 5:21–25.
Elder Johnson challenged us to take a closer look at the fruit of the Spirit, placing special emphasis on “longsuffering.”He reminded us that longsuffering requires patience, endurance, and the strength to keep trusting God even when the journey becomes difficult.
Sometimes, you have to encourage yourself! 🙌🏾 When you feel like giving up, keep going. When you don’t see the answer, keep trusting. And when life tests your patience, remember that God is developing something in you through the process.
What a powerful Word and an amazing worship experience! We thank God for His presence, His Word, and the reminder that we can encourage ourselves because God is still with us! 🙏🏾🔥
To God be all the glory!

The Holy Spirit was truly welcomed at Vanderhorst Memorial CME Church today! 🙌🏾🔥 We began our morning service by giving God His due praise, and the presence of the Lord was felt throughout the sanctuary.
Elder Kennith Johnson, Sr., Pastor, delivered a “Ridiculous” message from Luke 5:1–11, entitled “A Ridiculous Blessing.” What a powerful reminder that when we trust God and follow His instructions, He can bless us beyond what we could ever imagine!

Later, the Holy Spirit remained with us as we gathered together as a community for our annual tea, “What’s in Your Cup?” ☕️💐 It was a beautiful time of praise, fellowship, laughter, food, and sharing.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this program a success by sharing your talent, time, and treasure with Vanderhorst Memorial CME Church. Your contributions helped make the day truly special.
From worship to fellowship, God was glorified, and our cup overflowed! 🙏🏾❤️
