Only four days to go until The King's Counterpoint’s visit to Old St. Andrew's Parish Church to perform their concert, Nature’s Exultation. Crammed full of sacred and secular music from the humerous to the genteel, there is something for everyone. Starting at 2.00pm, it is a performance guaranteed to please old and young alike. From storms, seals, sheep & starlight to cuckoos, chickens, cattle & crickets, across the centuries composers have musically celebrated and imitated nature and the incredible world around us.
The attached YouTube clip is of Robert Pearsall's beautifully constructed piece, Lay a Garland. Composed in 1840, this popular eight-part madrigal is overflowing with fine polyphonic writing and rich and expressive sonorities, providing a fine example of Pearsall's enduring interest in early music and the Renaissance style.
Join The King's Counterpoint on May 3rd as they ring in the Spring by sharing some of these fun & fabulous musical offerings. Featuring works by Whitacre, Rutter, Josquin, Palestrina, Victoria, Passereau, Pearsall and more, with styles ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day!
Reserved Seating $25 * General Admission $20 * Seniors $15 * Univ. Students $5 * Under 18 always FREE!

At the Salvation Army’s annual meeting and volunteer appreciation luncheon on April 18, Old St. Andrew’s was named Group of the Year for our efforts at ringing the bell at Lowe’s food store during the holiday season! We were so thrilled that Bill, Jean, Bo and Tyler James Bartlett, our top ringing family, were able to join us for the event! They even made an “appearance” in the slide show!

A huge thanks to everyone who rang! We are excited to help out this very worthy cause again in 2026!
