Tomorrow is Easter and as we remember all that Christ has done for us and the fulfilled promise of our salvation. Let us not forget that we have brothers and sisters in service to our country. Tomorrow we have an opportunity to praise and to pray with our friend Lailah Rice as she leaves for US Army training. We will meet at CRW airport at 4:30 am to pray with her before she goes through security. Reminder to please pray for all of our troops currently deployed. We have a lot of West Virginia’s deployed currently all over the world and country it’s important that we lift them and thier families up in prayer. I challenge everyone to pray at 11:11am and pm today. We choose 11:11 as a homage to the end of world war 1. We pray for safety security and for peace for them and thier families.

Happy Memorial Day! I encourage each and everyone of you to enjoy this day, make sure you take the time to reflect on that fact that this Day off from work has been paid for.

Often times I would share John 15:13 however yesterday in our sermon we were reminded of the full context of this verse. Not only is this day paid for in the blood of those who died in service of this great nation, but the example given here is of Christ and however everything has been given up for us.

““As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.”

As we reflect today I encourage to share the memories you have of those who we honor today. I will be posting here some of the Heroes I remember every day. I encourage you to share the same. The greatest way we can honor them is to remember them and continue to embrace the life we have been called to serve in. Not to look at this as a punishment or failure that we lived, but remember that this was the greatest gift one could give us and in the same example of Christ our brother and sisters laid down thier lives. Embrace that gift and make sure to honor it by sharing it with the world.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have to
