Jesus called ordinary fishermen.

Not because of their credentials.
Not because they had it all figured out.
But because the grace, promise, and Spirit of God would do something in them and through them.

That same work continues in us.

The fruit of the Spirit is the inward workโ€”who we are becoming.
The gifts of the Spirit are the outward workโ€”how God works through us.

And when life gets hardโ€”marriage, parenting, recovery, relationships, workโ€”Godโ€™s answer isnโ€™t that everything around us will suddenly become easy.

๐Ÿ’ญ What if the place where weโ€™ve stopped expecting life is exactly where God wants to breathe new life?

In Ezekiel 37, God brings Ezekiel into a valley of dry bonesโ€”a picture of what feels beyond repair.

Maybe youโ€™ve stood there too.

A marriage that feels empty.
Addiction. Regret. Anger. Failure.
A season where hope feels far away.

And yet God asks, โ€œCan these bones live?โ€

Spoiler: the answer is YES.๐Ÿ™Œ

The same Spirit of Godโ€”the ๐˜™๐˜ถ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜Œ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฎโ€”who breathes life into dry bones can bring newness of life into every layer of ours.

God isnโ€™t simply interested in changing our behavior. He wants to breathe LIFE into us. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Last night, students from Crosstowne and Summerbrook Church came together to worship, pray, and lift up the name of Jesus.

What animates you?

Routine.
Ambition.
Fear.
Success.
Our children.
Our careers.
Even the needs of others.

Some of those things are goodโ€”but none of them were meant to be the source of your life.

This Sunday we began ๐€๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž, a new series about the difference between simply moving through life and being brought fully alive by the presence of God.

From the breath of God in Genesis to the new life we receive in Christ, Scripture points us toward something more:

โ€œIf anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.โ€ โ€” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus didnโ€™t come so we could simply manage our routines, survive our circumstances, or build a life that looks full from the outside.

๐‡๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž.
