God loves you. No exceptions.

The Kanawha Deanery was well-represented at Rainbow Pride in Charleston today, where a group from area churches marched in the parade and St. John’s and St. Christopher hosted tables. It was a joy to share God’s love and to proclaim a message of welcome for all of God’s children.

📍 June 6 – Rainbow Pride of WV (Charleston)

📍 June 13 – Parkersburg Pride

📍 June 13 – Wheeling Pride

📍 June 13 – Morgantown Pride

📍 June 20 – Fayetteville Pride

📍June 24 – Pride Eucharist at St. John’s, Charleston (6:00pm)

📍 June 28 – Ecumenical Pride Service at St. James’, Lewisburg (5:00pm)

It's almost time for summer camp and Peterkin Camp and Conference Center's annual wish list registry is live! This is a great way of supporting camping ministry and helping ensure they have everything they need to make it the best summer yet.

It’s that time of year!

The Summer Camp Registry is officially up and open! No contribution is too big or too small, and Peterkin is immensely grateful for the support our community and supporters provide to help make this ministry possible.

"From the outside, the Church often doesn’t look very lively. Even for those who are in parishes that are thriving, we can be misled into uncritically thinking that outward activity automatically implies inward growth.

But the Resurrection narratives give us another way to look at the Body of Christ. Even when it is defeated and lifeless, the Spirit of God is at work."

The Rev. Geoff Mackey, rector of Trinity, Parkersburg, authored this essay published in The Living Church this week.

The women came to the tomb to care for a dead body. But by God's glory, life appeared! What can we say about the church, the body of Christ?
