This is what we do....
From Claire Wilson with CCSD... EMAIL BLAST THAT WENT TO EVERYONE...
Good afternoon Jay,
WOW!!! The District 9 Fall Festival has finally come and gone. Words cannot express how grateful I was to work along such a dedicated team of staff members and with our external sponsors/vendors. There were a couple of hiccups during the Festival, but that did not taint the morale of the day, nor did it deter anyone from continuing the mission to serve our island families and the community.
Despite the challenges we faced after having to change the original date of the Festival due to the unprecedented flood, I never heard a complaint from anyone. Instead, I saw collaboration among booths, enthusiastic performances from students and support from their neighboring schools, smiles and laughter, and true leadership.
Without hesitation, the Bearded Sinners Club showed up and were ready help make our event great….YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!
The school supplies made a significant impact for our families. I am still awe-struck by the selfless act of kindness that your group provided for our students...our district. We have 86 schools in Charleston County, and the District 9 area really needed a boost in morale...and you had a hand in making that happen.
The Bearded Sinners played an intricate role in the success of the District 9 Fall Festival. I would like to take this moment to personally thank you for your support to the community, your dedication to your individual roles, and for the time that you sacrificed on a Saturday, to promote the awesome things happening at CCSD, but more specifically, in District 9. Hats off to you!
