Our Sunday lesson was all about being a Good Neighbor! 💛
After learning about the Good Samaritan, the children put kindness into action with a fun “Pass By or Help?” reaction game and created helping hands filled with ideas for how they can love and serve others in their everyday lives. 🖐️✨
From lending a helping hand to showing kindness and compassion, we’re reminding our little ones that being a good neighbor starts with small acts of love. ❤️

It’s our last full day at Montreat and we are soaking in every moment! Conversations and affirmations last night led to chatting about how God has placed each of us in each other’s lives for a very specific purpose. Tuesday Montreat Youth Conference Recap! A rainy afternoon in the mountains did not stop us from having a great day! Running in from the rain, cards at the house, Ms. Paige’s amazing meals, jumping off the rock in the rain, make your own pizza night, and lots of laughs. Today is free afternoon and we’re headed to the waterfalls! Giving thanks for this group and the memories we have made so far! ♥️🙏🏼

Today we celebrate 11 years of faithful leadership from Pastor Daniel Smoak!

For more than a decade, Pastor Daniel has been a steadfast presence at Westminster Presbyterian Church—a guiding light, a trusted teacher, and a source of strength for our faith community. Through his humor, wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith, he has helped lead us through seasons of joy, challenge, growth, and grace.

We are deeply grateful for the love and dedication he brings to our church family each day. Thank you, Pastor Daniel, for faithfully shepherding our congregation and pointing us toward Christ with both conviction and kindness.

That’s a wrap on Club 345 and Youth Group for the 2025-2026 school year! We give thanks for all of our wonderful children and youth at Westminster and are looking forward to a summer filled with opportunities to grow in faith and love! 🎨🏊‍♂️☀️

Club 345 enjoyed time at ISmash Charleston painting and honoring our rising 6th graders, and our youth group enjoyed a pool party and dinner at the lovely home of Jill and Matthew Patrick. Thanks to all of our leaders, parent volunteers, and church family that make days like this possible!

We're glad to partner with Charleston Area Justice Ministry in helping our dear city be a more just place to live, work, and do business. Here's a report from the Nehemiah Action Assembly this week, where food insecurity was addressed with local officials. Pastor Daniel Smoak was a presenter and is quoted in the article.

Thousands of Charleston County residents have limited access to fresh produce and meat. One advocacy group is pushing for a region-wide food council to find solutions for food insecurity.

Our Youth Sunday service was full of God’s presence and reminders of God having our backs! We want to say a very special thank you to all of youth and youth leaders who were involved in this morning of worship, and we encourage all to come up and pray over our banner in the next week or on Sunday.

We even had our preschool 4s and 3s classes add their own prayers to the banner this week in chapel! The church is not a building it is the people, and we give God thanks for people of all ages who are the body of Christ! 🙏🏼🌈
