Young adults of Charleston, the next round of ToT is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. upstairs in the Whiskey Room at Henry's on the Market!

When you take an honest look at your life, do you see flourishing and joy or do you see just existing and trying to get through the day? Brian McGreevy and his friend Cheryl Donaldson, who is a therapist, author, and international speaker, will be leading tomorrow's discussion about “Flourishing versus Existing: Barriers to Thriving.”

The biblical vision for flourishing––as God's desire for us––spans both the Old and New Testaments, yet the idea of attaining a life of flourishing characterized by joy and fulfillment is both compelling and elusive at the same time. Brian and Cheryl will address the Christian vision for flourishing, barriers that inhibit our ability to realize that vision, and practices that can help us grow towards the flourishing and joy God desires for us.

As always, park for free in the church parking lot, help yourself to pizza and water (provided––cash bar available), ask any questions you'd like anonymously through a texting app, and now that summer is here, it's a great time to invite folks who are new to town or college students who are home for the summer to come join us for a great evening!

More about Cheryl: Cheryl Donaldson is a therapist, author, and international speaker. A former Young Life staff worker in Europe, Cheryl holds an M.A. in clinical psychology from Wheaton College. She did graduate work in theology and leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary, and she has over 30 years of experience as a counselor.

"O Lord our God, whose name only is excellent and thy praise above heaven and earth: We give thee high praise and hearty thanks for all those who counted not their lives dear unto themselves but laid them down for their friends; beseeching thee to give them a part and a lot in those good things which thou hast prepared for all those whose names are written in the Book of Life; and grant to us, that having them always in remembrance, we may imitate their faithfulness and with them inherit the new name which thou hast promised to them that overcome; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
