On June 7, 2026, Bishop Chip Edgar commissioned Mr. Brad Carr as the new Licensed Lay Pastor of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Bennettsville through the Thrive Together Initiative.

"It was a great day at St Paul’s, Bennettsville!" Bishop Edgar declared. "We kicked off the ministry of our first Thrive Together pastor—Bradley Carr. I’m eager to see the next years unfold as Brad moves into this new ministry and the church moves into future growth and deeper discipleship. Pray for St Paul’s and pray for (and support) the Thrive Together Initiative."

Thank you to everyone who has chosen to partner with us through the Thrive Together Initiative. Your ongoing support is making a difference! Together, we are coming alongside churches without full-time clergy and strengthening ministry across our Diocese for the glory of God.

Marked by joyful affirmation and God's grace, the day was a beautiful reminder of Christ's work among His people.
