Good Shepherd Folks,

An important announcement for tomorrow. We got word yesterday evening that the HVAC unit for the Fellowship Hall is out. The units for the hallways and classrooms are still working well though.

Tomorrow morning we'll be using some fans to help keep the room cool, and push air from the colder areas into the Fellowship Hall. We'll also have some cold water stations in the back and front of the room.

So come dressed comfortably, and bring a cup or water bottle with you, as we gather together to worship the Lord.

Our GSDS campers learned about Jesus' ministry and how to serve others! Mr. Billy showed the kids how a cast net works to go along with our Bible story, "Jesus makes us fishers of men!" We made cards for those who are in the hospital, colored placemats for prisoners to use at mealtime (NBC has a prison ministry), through donations for our camper's families, we filled up the blessing box, and the kids decorated sleeping masks for young adults diagnosed with cancer (The Boone Project). It was a blessed week!

At GSDS summer camp, we've been walking through the old testament for the past 2 weeks and here, in the middle of our summer camp, we celebrated Jesus' birthday!! Such a fun week! A mini-Christmas in July. Thank you, LORD, for Jesus!!
