Fall is kicking off with a Parish Potluck, a Blood Drive, and so much more this Labor Day Weekend. The community is invited to participate, as well as the people of Nativity, so let your neighbor know and invite them to help support the Blood Connection and eat great food at the parish potluck after each Mass. Bring a dish to share and drop it off before each Mass.

The Blood Connection Bus will be located in the parking lot in front of the school Sunday, September 01, 2024 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Sign up here.

OCIA Hosted Fellowship Weekend

If you missed this past weekend's potlucks after Mass, you can always be a part of the next one!

Mark your calendar for the weekend of August 31 & September 1 and count on joining us for a meal after Mass. This year, the Church of the Nativity Ladies Guild is doing something a little different for Fellowship Weekend. They have assigned different ministries in the church to host. The Alpha ministry is up next!

Our team cannot wait to provide the hospitality that we use at Alpha every Tuesday this Fall to our seekers of the faith. Jesus spent a lot of time sharing meals with others and we want to follow in His footsteps.

If you have already taken Alpha and want to help on occasion or every week, the Alpha Team is looking for more members to join us this Fall. Training is next Tuesday. Contact [email protected].

Parish Potlucks start back up again this weekend, August 10-11!

Bring a dish to share and join your parish family for the monthly Nativity Fellowship Weekend Parish Potluck after each Mass this weekend!

The OCIA (formerly known as the RCIA) will be hosting this weekend, so bring food and drinks to share with potential new members of the church. Bring your friends, family, or neighbors who have questions about the Catholic Faith and may have been considering learning more about the Catholic Faith. After we eat, the OCIA and inquirers will break off into our OCIA meeting space for questions and introductions.

OCIA begins again on Sunday, August 25 at 10:00 am in the Parish Life Center Meeting Room.

This initial gathering at the Fellowship Weekend potluck is a wonderful opportunity to meet other members of the parish and our OCIA team, ask questions, and learn more about what the journey entails.

For more information or to sign up for the OCIA process, please contact Vicki Vazquez at [email protected].

Be a part of supporting these potential new members of the Faith by being a part of the potluck this weekend.

Ministry Fair this weekend after each Mass. Hospitality provided in between the Sunday Masses.

Come represent the ministry you are involved in and answer questions from the people who may be interested in getting more involved. For those looking to get more involved, this is a great opportunity to check out what Nativity has to offer our parish and community.

"If we give ourselves to God and let Him use our talents to serve others, we will be amazed by the results. Not only will our lives be changed but so will the lives of others.”

Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit
We are excited to host the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit at Nativity starting Sunday, February 24/25 and March 2/3 after all the Masses. The Diocese of Charleston is offering a traveling Eucharistic Miracle exhibit that is a curated selection from the Eucharistic Miracle exhibit originally created by Blessed Carlo Acutis. It consists of 28 bilingual (English/ Spanish) panels that recount several Eucharistic miracles documented throughout the history of the Church. The exhibit will be displayed in our Parish Life Center. This version of the exhibit features an audio-visual guide to walk you through the tour of the display. The exhibit is in English and Spanish and AV guide is in English with Spanish subtitles. Be sure to bring a mobile device and headphones to access the guide using the QR Code.

Seder/Passover Meal Learning Experience at Nativity - Tickets on Sale this Weekend

Dinner is on February 25, 2024 at 5:30 pm in the Parish Life Center

Enter more deeply into the Passion of Christ and gain a greater spiritual understanding of the Passover and Holy Week. Those who attend will be active participants praying together and learning the meaning behind the rituals. We will also share a meal together. Because of the style of this learning experience, we recommend it to adults and those in the 4th grade and up.

Advance ticket purchase required.

Tickets are $15 per person and will be on sale after Masses the weekends of Jan 27/28 & Feb 3/4.

Tickets are also available from the church office during regular office hours.
