Happy Feast of all Saints! This day is celebrated as a Holy Day of Obligation and honors all the souls who are in Heaven, both known and unknown. All souls in Heaven are saints, even if they have not been officially canonized. We take this opportunity to ask the saints to pray for us that we may join them in Heaven.⁣

Happy Feast of Sts. Simon and Jude, Apostles. St. Simon is referred to in Scripture by Luke as "the zealot." St. Jude, referred to as Jude Thaddeus to avoid confusion with Judas Iscariot, is the patron of hopeless causes. He is also the author of the New Testament book the Epistle of Jude.⁣
⁣
Not much is known about these apostles' lives from Scripture, but they were chosen by Christ to spread his Gospel to the ends of the earth, in which we should follow their example. Sts. Simon and Jude, pray for us!⁣

More than 100 college Knights gather with Bishop Earl Fernandes of Columbus, Ohio, and Supreme Officers after attending Mass together at St. Mary’s Church Oct. 5, 2024, in New Haven, Conn. Bishop Fernandes was the principal celebrant for the vigil Mass, during the 59th annual College Councils Conference, and also delivered the keynote address at the conference’s awards banquet that evening.

This weekend, our very own Knights White, Clarke, Cizauskas, and Shaw had the opportunity to travel to New Haven, Connecticut, to represent The Citadel at The National Knights of Columbus College Conference. Along with making some great connections, the Knights learned some ways we could improve our own council! Looking into the future, we hope to represent The Citadel on a national level again next year.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary! The prayers of the Rosary come from Our Lord Himself, from inspired Scripture, and from the Church, so it is not surprising that the Rosary is dear to Our Blessed Mother and so powerful in Heaven.⁣
