Happy Father’s Day from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church! 💙

Today we give thanks to God for all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and spiritual fathers who guide, protect, and nurture their families with love and faith.

The example of a faithful father reflects God’s steadfast care for His children—offering wisdom, strength, sacrifice, and encouragement through every season of life.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us pray for all fathers: those actively raising children, those whose children are grown, those who serve as spiritual fathers, and those who are remembered with love. May God grant them health, peace, wisdom, and many blessed years.

On May 17, we gathered for our Youth End-of-Year Celebration, a joyful opportunity to reflect on and give thanks for a wonderful year of ministry. At the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, we honored our dedicated teachers and recognized graduating seniors Dimitri Katsoulakis and Sophia Hoffman for their accomplishments and faithful involvement in parish life.

Following the service, the parish gathered in the fellowship hall for lunch and celebration, where students from Sunday School, Greek School, and Greek Dance received certificates recognizing their hard work and participation throughout the year. The festivities continued with face painting, a balloon artist, and outdoor activities for the children, making it a memorable day of fellowship, gratitude, and celebration for our entire parish family.

🇺🇸 Help Us Support Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Holy Trinity’s Philoptochos and Community Outreach Committee are joining forces to support the residents of Patriot Villas— a local supportive housing community serving homeless veterans here in North Charleston.

From May 31 through June 28, we will be collecting donations to help stock their pantry for “Free Pantry Fridays.”

🛒 Most-needed items include:
• Canned soup & canned meat
• Peanut butter, jelly, ketchup, mustard, mayo
• Instant & regular coffee
• Individual snacks & packets of grits
• Laundry pods & toilet paper

This is a meaningful way for us to honor those who have served our country by providing essential support and care.

🌿 VBS Day 1 Recap: Created for God

What a beautiful start to our Journey to the Kingdom! Today our children learned that they are created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him.

Through crafts, games, and reflection, they explored what it means to live with purpose in Christ.

We’re off to a wonderful start—glory to God! ✨

Today we celebrate the great feast of Holy Pentecost—the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, empowering them to go forth and proclaim the Gospel to all nations. In the life of the Greek Orthodox Church, Pentecost is the fulfillment of Christ’s promise and the birth of the Church itself, revealing the fullness of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

On this blessed day, we also celebrate the Name Day of our parish, Holy Trinity. It is a profound joy to honor our patronal feast together, giving thanks for our church, our faith, and our community.

As the Holy Spirit descended and united the faithful, may we too be renewed, strengthened, and united in Christ.
