🇺🇸 Help Us Support Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Holy Trinity’s Philoptochos and Community Outreach Committee are joining forces to support the residents of Patriot Villas— a local supportive housing community serving homeless veterans here in North Charleston.

From May 31 through June 28, we will be collecting donations to help stock their pantry for “Free Pantry Fridays.”

🛒 Most-needed items include:
• Canned soup & canned meat
• Peanut butter, jelly, ketchup, mustard, mayo
• Instant & regular coffee
• Individual snacks & packets of grits
• Laundry pods & toilet paper

This is a meaningful way for us to honor those who have served our country by providing essential support and care.

Today we celebrate the great feast of Holy Pentecost—the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, empowering them to go forth and proclaim the Gospel to all nations. In the life of the Greek Orthodox Church, Pentecost is the fulfillment of Christ’s promise and the birth of the Church itself, revealing the fullness of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

On this blessed day, we also celebrate the Name Day of our parish, Holy Trinity. It is a profound joy to honor our patronal feast together, giving thanks for our church, our faith, and our community.

As the Holy Spirit descended and united the faithful, may we too be renewed, strengthened, and united in Christ.

🚤 Set sail on a 2.5-hour sunset dolphin cruise with Eco Barrier Tours and take in the beautiful Charleston coastline near Capers Island. Keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins 🐬 and sea turtles as we enjoy the sunset together!

🌸💖 Happy Mother’s Day from Holy Trinity! 💖🌸

Today we give thanks for the love, strength, and faith of all mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and spiritual mothers who nurture and guide us each day. Your care reflects the beauty of Christ’s love in our lives.

We also look to the Most Holy Theotokos, the Mother of God, as our perfect example of humility, obedience, and unwavering faith. Through her “yes,” she became the vessel of our salvation and a loving intercessor for us all.

May her example continue to inspire and strengthen every mother, and may God grant you many blessed years filled with joy, peace, and grace.

The Stamo Latto Scholarship is for young Orthodox women who strive for excellence—in the classroom, in their faith, and in their future.

📖 Ideal candidates:
• High school seniors (juniors also encouraged!)
• Strong academic performance (top 10% typical)
• Active in a canonical Orthodox parish

Standardized test scores are encouraged but not required.

If you are driven, dedicated, and looking to grow—this opportunity is for you.
