Our lesson book this week reminds us: "His standard is high but His call is clear. Humbly caring for others is what God calls believers to do, even if society says they don't have to care. Every imbalanced power dynamic is meant to be leveled by believers who make the interests of another person more important than their own. God's family has a different standard for relationships that should challenge and change the culture around us."

From this week's study we learned that we must first know the word of God (study it!) in order to obey. "But seeking God is the first step. Seeking His methods and timing is essential. We don't want to be slow to obey God, but we also don't want to be rash in making our own plans ahead of or apart from Him."

Great reminder today that we, as followers of Christ, are supposed to seek wisdom from God through the Holy Spirit. There is no better source of wisdom and direction.
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth... He will tell you about the future" (Jn. 16:13)
