The lies addiction tells vs. the reality it delivers: Happiness β†’ Unhappiness, Joy β†’ Misery, Freedom β†’ Slavery. Every promise alcohol makes, it breaks. What a reminder that true freedom comes from Jesus alone. πŸ’”βž‘οΈβ€οΈ

Modesty is not about your wardrobe. It's about your heart.

That's what came out of Sunday's message, and it's worth sitting with. We live in a culture that profits off of over-sexualization and teaches our kids to seek attention over honor. But Paul's word to the church in Ephesus cuts right through it. In Ephesians 5, he says there shouldn't even be a hint of sexual immorality among God's people. Not because God is a killjoy, but because He has something better in mind.

We walked through what it actually looks like to pursue purity and modesty in a world that is pushing hard in the opposite direction. It's not just about what you wear. It's about what you say, what you let your eyes rest on, what you let into your home, and what standard you're setting for the next generation watching you. This is not just a conversation for women, or just for teenagers, or just for people who struggle with obvious things. It is a conversation for all of us.

The peace God offers is greater than anything the world is selling. And His grace, according to Titus 2, actually teaches us to say no to the things that pull us away from holiness.

We are not meant to look like the rest of the world. We are meant to be a light in it.

What is one thing you can do this week to set a healthier boundary, for yourself or for your family, when it comes to purity?

We started something new Sunday, and honestly, it's the kind of series that makes people a little uncomfortable in the best possible way.

It's called Hot Topics. And the sermon started with a question that Pontius Pilate asked Jesus right before the crucifixion: "What is truth?"

It sounds simple. But we're living in a moment where that question feels more urgent than ever. People are fed up with getting different answers depending on which direction they look. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone has "their truth." And somewhere in all that noise, people are genuinely thirsting for something solid.

That's where the church comes in. Or at least, that's where the church is supposed to come in.

We looked at 2 Timothy 3:16 and talked about what it actually means to treat Scripture as the authoritative word of God. Not just the verses we like. Not just the parts that feel comfortable. All of it. Because truth that you can edit to fit your mood isn't really truth at all.

But here's the part that stuck with a lot of people: truth without grace just makes you the loudest, most obnoxious person in the room. We need both truth and grace. The church that loves people well AND tells them the truth is the church that actually changes lives.

If you missed Sunday, you can catch the full message on our website, app or Facebook. We'd love to have you with us next week!
