Connecting our community to God and to each other!

10/13/2026

What a great Sunday we had!
Pastor Ryan preached from his fire series and preached on Elijah on Mount Carmel. “Sometimes we have to pour out what we have, before we see what God is about to do.
The question isn't simply, "What do I have left?"
The question is, "Do I trust God with what I have left?"

What an incredible Sunday at Hilltop City Church! ☀️🙌

The sun was shining, and we had the joy of gathering together to worship the Lord! ❤️

Our adults talked about fire in the Bible, focusing on Moses and the burning bush and the powerful reminder that when God gives us an assignment, He also gives us the power to accomplish what He has called us to do.

Our kids learned about Noah and God’s promise, a beautiful reminder that God is faithful and always keeps His promises. 🌈🕊️

Are you looking for a place to belong? We’d love to have you join us at Hilltop City Church next Sunday! Come as you are, bring your family, and see what God is doing.

Have questions? Send us a message right here, we’d love to connect with you! ❤️

Thank you to Shawn Highfield at Signs of Integrity for our new signs and flags. They look wonderful and inviting for next week and for years to come. Shawn got us new welcome flags and was able to wrap our existing signs to reflect the new name of our church. Thanks again Shawn!

What a beautiful morning! ❤️ We gathered for prayer, then went door to door inviting our neighbors to church and praying with those who shared a need. We’re so thankful for our church family and for the opportunity to pray together, serve our community, and share God’s love. 🙏⛪️

For those who have not heard, we recently changed the name of our church. Chardon Assembly of God is now called Hilltop City Church!
Why the name change? It’s based on scripture, “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Our church sits on one of the highest points in our area, quite literally sitting on a hilltop. Chardon school’s mascot is the “Hilltoppers” so we are also connecting with our city as “hilltop” is familiar in our town.
What does this mean for our church, are we still an Assembly of God church? Yes we are! Our mission is still the same, love God and love people. When we see name changes in the Bible we see people who had fresh and renewed vision from the Lord. This is what we want from God, renewed vision to love, serve, and reach our city.

What a Sunday! I am thankful that God loves us and calls us. Just like Saul became Paul, God gives us a new name when we become followers of His.
