Vacation Bible School is almost here, and we are excited about all that God has in store. This year's theme, "Rome: Paul and the Underground Church," will transport children back to the days of the early church. They will learn about courage, faith, and the power of the Gospel through the life of the Apostle Paul. In a world filled with distractions, children need opportunities to learn the truths of God's Word. VBS is more than games and activities—it is a chance for lives to be changed by Christ. Tonight, begin praying for every child, family, and worker who will be part of this special week.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 KJV
“Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” — Psalm 34:11 KJV

Vacation Bible School: June 7th–11th
Theme: Rome: Paul and the Underground Church

As Paul's ministry in Rome drew people from all walks of life, the Gospel continued reaching new hearts. Some believed immediately, while others needed time to consider the truth. Paul remained faithful to share God's message regardless of the response. Our responsibility is not to change hearts, but to faithfully proclaim the Good News. God is the One who brings conviction, growth, and salvation. End tonight thanking Him for the privilege of being part of His work.

“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing...” — Psalm 126:6 KJV
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6 KJV

VBS 2026!

One of the greatest lessons from the believers in Rome is the importance of standing together. Christians faced opposition from the culture around them, yet they encouraged one another and remained faithful. The church flourishes when believers support, pray for, and strengthen each other. God never intended for us to fight spiritual battles alone. Fellowship with other believers helps us remain strong in our faith. Take time today to encourage someone who may need a reminder of God's faithfulness.

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 KJV
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” — Hebrews 10:24 KJV

Children attending Vacation Bible School, "Rome: Paul and the Underground Church," will discover how the early Christians supported one another through difficult times.

One reason Paul's ministry in Rome was so effective was because he never stopped trusting God's promises. Long before arriving there, God had assured Paul that he would testify in Rome. Through storms, imprisonment, and uncertainty, that promise never changed. God's promises are just as trustworthy today as they were then. When circumstances seem difficult, believers can stand confidently upon God's Word. Begin today remembering that God's promises never fail.

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen...” — 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV
“There stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve.” — Acts 27:23 KJV

When Paul lived in Rome, he was surrounded by a city filled with idols, false gods, and worldly influences. Yet he remained faithful to the one true God and boldly proclaimed the Gospel. Christians today face a culture that often pulls people away from God's truth. Like Paul, we are called to stand firm in our faith regardless of what is happening around us. God does not ask us to blend into the world but to shine as lights within it. Tonight, ask the Lord to help you remain faithful in a world that desperately needs Christ.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” — Matthew 5:14 KJV
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...” — Romans 12:2 KJV

Children will discover what life was like in ancient Rome during Vacation Bible School, "Rome: Paul and the Underground Church," June 7th–11th!

Come to VBS 2026!

Despite opposition, imprisonment, and persecution, the Gospel continued to spread throughout Rome. No government, prison, or hardship could stop the message of Jesus Christ. Paul's life reminds us that God's truth is stronger than any obstacle the world can place in its path. The Gospel was changing lives then, and it is still changing lives today. Every believer has the privilege of helping share that message with others. End tonight thanking God for the life-changing power of the Gospel.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation...” — Romans 1:16 KJV
“But the word of God is not bound.” — 2 Timothy 2:9 KJV
