UPC folks spent time on Saturday at a Habitat for Humanity of Orange County build site, framing walls for a new home. Participants ranged from high school age to retirees, and everyone in between.

Thanks to our partners at Habitat for showing us how it's done, and to our Local Outreach Committee for organizing the opportunity.

First Sunday at the bench! 🎉🎹 Meet Andrew Otto, our new organ scholar. He comes to us from Edenton Street UMC in Raleigh, and this week he starts his first year at UNC Chapel Hill, where he’ll be studying political science and playing with the Marching Tar Heels. We’re so glad he’s here!

Our children, youth, and chaperones had a wonderful week in Montreat for the annual Worship & Music conference! We explored the theme “Who’ll Be a Witness?” alongside our preacher for the week, Brian Blount. We spent time singing, drumming, storytelling, praying, and playing together, making memories and building community with our church family.

We invite all rising 4th graders through high schoolers to join us next year: June 27 - July 3!

☀️ This summer, the UPC and University United Methodist congregations are leaning into something simple: showing up together. Under the theme Perfect Pairings, we’re exploring how connection shapes us both in worship and in the everyday moments we share.

🎉 There are four curated, unique fellowship opportunities and there's something for everyone. Kicking off July 12th with Speed Puzzling then W**e & Cheese Pairing on July 13 to Date Night on July 17 and Pickleball Pairs on July 22, we hope you'll attend whatever is calling to you.

Vacation Bible School: Snowball Mountain Challenge 2026 is in the books! Big thanks to all the participants and volunteers who helped make this week fun, reminding us we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us!

After weeks of prepping, packing up, and moving very heavy things, we said "see you later" to our home sanctuary this week as our building undergoes renovations. While our time at 209 Franklin St. is on pause, we will continue to worship together with University United Methodist Churchstarting this Sunday at 10:30 am. In a world that keeps telling us to go it alone, two congregations are choosing a different way this summer. Come see what God does when we show up together.
