No Worship this Sunday

Inclement Weather Cancellation
Due to weather forecasts looking pretty severe for the area starting tomorrow afternoon, we are canceling all activities for Sunday. This includes Bible Class, Confirmation, Worship, Fellowship Time and our Voters’ Meeting.

Voters’ Meeting has been re-scheduled for after our Worship Service on Sunday, February 1st.

A Virtual Service will be sent out via email and is on Advent’s YouTube Channel.

Here is Advent’s Inclement Weather Policy:
Advent Lutheran Church – Inclement Weather Policy The Pastor will confer with the President, the Chair of the Board of Worship, and an Elder to reach a decision about cancellation of a Worship service or other event. If the event is canceled, the congregation will be informed by email no later than two hours before the event is scheduled to begin. The office manager will set up a phone tree to call all members who do not use email as soon as the decision is made and will notify local ABC and NBC television stations. The announcement will also be posted on the Advent website and Facebook as soon as possible. If a service is not canceled and someone feels unsafe driving, they are encouraged to stay home.

Should there be someone you believe may not get this message, please reach out to them about this cancellation.

CHRISTMAS WORSHIP SCHEDULE:

We won't see you on Christmas Eve MORNING...There will be NO Sunday Morning Worship on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

THERE WILL, however, be a Candlelight Service at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24th. Get to Church at 6:30 p.m. to hear special Christmas Music from Lynn Miller, our Pianist!
