Care of Creation Mass is next week, Tuesday, September 1, at 12:10 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, NC 27603.

Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor David Brockman. The English translation of the Mass for the Care of Creation was just approved in time for Sept 1: The World Day of Prayer for Creation and the 1st day of the Season of Creation!

Join us if you can for this JOYOUS MASS.

We would like to ask for your prayers for the repose of the soul of Rev. Msgr. Phillip Leach, a retired priest of the diocese who recently passed away at his home in British Columbia. Msgr. Leach was Pastor of the Catholic Community of St. Thomas More from 1992-1993. He also served as Pastor at the UNC Chapel Hill Newman Catholic Student Center Parish in the late 1990's through the early 2000's.

Please include among your intentions, especially at Mass, the repose of Msgr. Phillip's soul and the comfort of his family and all who mourn his death.

Les pedimos sus oraciones por el eterno descanso del alma del Rev. Mons. Phillip Leach, sacerdote jubilado de la diócesis, quien falleció recientemente en su hogar en Columbia Británica. El Mons. Leach fue párroco de la Comunidad Católica de St. Thomas More de 1992 a 1993. También se desempeñó como párroco en la Parroquia del Centro Universitario Católico Newman de UNC Chapel Hill a finales de los años noventa.

Por favor, incluyan entre sus intenciones, especialmente en la Santa Misa, el eterno descanso del alma de Mons. Phillip, así como el consuelo de su familia y de todos los que lloran su partida.

You may notice a new priest around campus this and next week - meet Fr. Álvaro! He is visiting us from Cali, Colombia. 🇨🇴

Fr. Álvaro is assisting Fr. Rafael while Fr. Patrick attends Camp Hidden Lake with our youth (this week) followed by personal vacation (next week). Fr. Álvaro is very happy to offer Mass and spend some time getting to know our parish.

He also comes with a special mission: to secure funds for five young adults from his parish to attend World Youth Day in Seoul next Summer. 🇰🇷✨

¡Quizás vean una cara nueva por aquí esta semana y la que viene! ¡Les presentamos al P. Álvaro! Nos visita desde Cali, Colombia. 🇨🇴

El P. Álvaro estará ayudando al P. Rafael mientras el P. Patrick está en el campamento Hidden Lake con nuestros jóvenes esta semana, y de vacaciones la próxima. Está muy feliz de celebrar la Misa con nosotros y conocer a nuestra comunidad.

Además, viene con una misión muy especial: conseguir apoyo para que 5 jóvenes de su parroquia puedan ir a la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud en Seúl el próximo verano. 🇰🇷✨

The parish office and campus are CLOSED for today, Thursday, August 6 due to an ongoing power outage to our campus. The lower and middle school are not impacted at this time. Masses will still take place at 12:15PM and 6:30PM in the Church.

La oficina parroquial y el campus están CERRADOS por el día de hoy, jueves 6 de agosto, debido a un corte de energía continuo en nuestras instalaciones. La escuela primaria y secundaria no se ven afectadas en este momento. Las Misas se llevarán a cabo según lo programado a las 12:15 p. m. y a las 6:30 p. m. en la Iglesia.
