The decline of church attendance has been an issue even before COVID19. Each year the numbers decrease more and more. This is an issue in all denominations of Christianity and not just amongst the Anglo-Catholic sects. We must ask ourselves why this is happening? We've seen more devision in the church over the last 20 years. Denominations changing stances on premarital relations, marriage, birth control, ordination of women, the death penalty, LGBTQ inclusion, open/closed communion, cremation, etc. Honestly, as a younger individual, I can see why people in my generation and younger have no desire to be affiliated with any sect of the Christian religion. We get taught one thing and then several years later the church changes it's stance. It's the very reason people I've talked to see the Bible as just rubbish, fiction, a fairytale, or a good story. Does any of the sects of Christianity even know what they are talking about anymore??? Why the same divine book but 1000's of different interpretations? What happened to true unwavering allegiance to the Word of God? Why are bishops, priests, deacons, pastors, and other ministers not preaching biblical and theological truths? Why are bishops, priests, deacons, pastors, and other ministers committing erroneous sins but still standing in the pulpit on Sunday morning preaching against such things??? When will church leaders stop living lavish hypocritical lives while their congregation members suffer for lack of basic needs?!!! These are all questions I myself have been asking, along with others I have had discussions with in this matter. The Church universal is unstable! She's in desperate need of revival and not only revival but also redirection! She's nearly divorced Christ her Husband!
