Save the date!
5Stone Churches and Grace Community church are hosting a one-day conference for men serving as pastors and elders, and for men who might aspire to the office of elder, or who serve in shepherding positions within their local churches.
We are focusing on shepherding in the midst of difficult situations and hard cases. This will include case studies, teaching, and more.
We will meet at Holiday Inn Express in Chanute on Saturday, April 25th. Registration begins at 8:00a.m.; the conference begins at 8:30a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Teachers Include:
Brian Jones - Brian is the Senior Pastor of New Arbor Bible Church in Ypsilaniti, MI. Brian earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he studied preaching with Haddon Robinson. He also holds Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree. Brian has taught courses on both the college and seminary levels.
Gordon Zwirkoski is the founder and director of 5Stone Churches, an organization that focuses on planting and developing life-giving local churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ. He is devoted to helping pastors and elders in their work. Before founding 5Stone Churches in 2010, he invested 20 years as a teacher and elder for dozens of churches in the U.S., Canada, and in Europe. Gordon holds masters degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and the University of Illinois at Springfield. He has a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University.
Todd Reeder is the Director of Missions for the Southeast Kansas Baptist Association. Todd serves to strengthen SBC pastors and churches in Southeast Kansas. Todd has served as a pastor to students at Trinity Baptist, and as Senior Pastor of both Nolensville Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Independence, KS. Todd is a graduate of Pitt State University with a degree in business and marketing.
Steve Galt is the founding pastor of Grace Community Church in Chanute where he continues to serve. He holds masters degrees from Wheaton College Graduate School and Luther Rice Seminary. He earned his bachelor's degree at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
