Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Today we show our appreciation and love for our mothers. I encourage you all to read over this powerful talk by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as he so beautiful expresses how important our mothers are.

“No love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child.”

Jeffrey R. Holland pays tribute to the strength, dedication, influence, and love of mothers.

Hello Brothers and Sisters!
This past Thursday, April 22 was Earth Day! Although it is one day out of the year, I think each and every day we can to do our part in being "good stewards" to our environment and appreciating our Earth!
Attached is a talk given by Elder Steven E. Snow of the Seventy. In it he shares some great thoughts and ideas for continuing Earth Day every day! 🌱🌎
I have listed a few points from his talk that can help give us ideas on how we can be good environmental stewards.
"
- Check with your local utility company, local community groups, or the internet to find suggestions to conserve energy.
- Support community recycling programs.
- Consider starting a community garden.
- Support local civic groups that promote stewardship and conservation.
- Be an involved citizen in government.
- Use the resources of the earth sparingly and reverently.
- Adopt lifestyles and personal habits that respect the Creation.
- As you can, fix up and keep clean the places where you live, work, recreate, and worship.
- Make your own living space more beautiful and inspirational.
- Contemplate the ways that nature bears testimony of God and the harmony between the laws and patterns of nature and the gospel of Jesus Christ.[16] "

This address was given by Elder Steven E. Snow of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during a panel discussion Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at an environmental stewardship symposium at Utah State University.

Happy Saturday to all!
Here is a scripture that I felt perfectly describes the attitude that Easter brings of Peace and Hope.

John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I hope your Saturday and upcoming Sunday are filled with Peace and Hope, as we reflect on our Savior and all he has done for us to find happiness.

"After suffering in Gethsemane for the sins of all people, Jesus is betrayed into the hands of the local authorities. Following a series of one-sided trials, He is sentenced to death by crucifixion. His suffering for us continues on the cross, and He is surrounded by people who cruelly mock Him. And yet, through it all, Jesus courageously endures, never letting fear keep Him from carrying out His mission to redeem all God’s children. Because of what He did, we can also leave fear behind as we use the power of His sacrifice to become a better version of ourselves."

Jesus courageously endures unthinkable suffering in Gethsemane and on the cross but never lets fear keep Him from carrying out His mission to redeem all God’s children. Click to learn more about Holy Week and watch an inspiring video about finding peace through prayer.

Good Morning Brothers and Sisters!
On the fifth day of this Holy Week, better known as the Last Supper, Jesus, "...introduces the ordinance of the sacrament so [that we may] always remember His sacrifice, and He teaches [about] the power of prayer."
"Jesus taught, “Ask, and ye shall receive” (John 16:24). Prayer has the power to bring blessings into our lives. Take a moment today to write down answers you’ve recently received to prayers."- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/easter-2021/holy-week-day-5-the-last-supper

Shortly before entering Gethsemane, Jesus Christ gathers His apostles together to share a meal and express His love for them. Click to learn more about Holy Week and sign up for an email series about the power of prayer.

Hello Brothers and Sisters! Hope you're all staying dry on this rainy Wednesday.
As we continue to follow Jesus's footsteps in this holy week, we can reflect on the message behind what happened today so long ago. The fourth day is traditionally known as "Spy Wednesday" where Judas conspired to hand over Jesus.
Although this event and many more to come are heart wrenching, Jesus encourages us to forgive. "His words have special significance since it is His sacrifice that makes forgiveness possible. Through Him, we can repent and have the burden of sin removed from our hearts."

Today's challenge for everyone is to think of a person we can forgive, or work towards forgiving, just as Jesus encourages us to do each and every day.

As Jesus Christ teaches His followers during the last week of His life, He stresses the principle of forgiveness. Click to learn more about Holy Week and watch an inspiring video about the peace that comes from forgiving others.
