Enough is Enough!
I strongly condemn the horrific killings of innocent Ethiopian Orthodox Christians in the Arsi, Ethiopia. The deliberate targeting of Orthodox Christians and Churches is a tragic assault on human dignity, religious freedom, and the sanctity of life. Reports indicate that dozens of Orthodox Christians have been killed in recent attacks, leaving families devastated, one of ancient Churches has been burned, and entire communities living in fear.
How many more innocent lives must be lost before the world pays attention? How many more families must mourn their loved ones before meaningful action is taken?
The silence of the international community in the face of repeated violence against Christians is deeply troubling. Every human life matters. Every victim deserves justice. Every community deserves protection.
I call upon the Holy Synod, international human rights organizations, faith leaders, and the global community to speak out for the free and independent investigation of these crimes, protection of civilians, and hold perpetrators accountable. Religious violence must never be ignored or normalized.
I stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and all those suffering from these attacks. I pray for peace, justice, healing, and the protection of all innocent people.
Enough is enough! The killing of Orthodox Christians in Ethiopia must end! The world must not remain silent!
May the souls of all those who lost their lives rest in peace, and may justice prevail.
