River of Life Lutheran Church (LCMS) A congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, located just west of Joliet, IL. We meet at 24901 S Sage St in Channahon, IL, just off of Rt 6.

River of Life Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Our worship services take place at 9:00 am on Sunday mornings, with the Bible Study and Sunday School hour following at 10:15. We celebrate the Lord's Supper each week.

We have very exciting news and some important information regarding our service time.

Starting Sunday, August 3rd, our new service time will be 8:00 AM.

In addition to the time change, we are thrilled to announce that Pastor Jackson Scofield has answered the call and will be joining us at River of Life in Channahon at 8:00 AM, as well as at Friends in Christ in Morris. We are very excited to welcome him to Channahon and River of Life Lutheran Church. Christ continues to bless us each and every day, and we are thankful and excited for Pastor Scofield to be here with us as we continue to grow and spread God's word.

Please join us this Sunday at 8:00 AM to welcome Pastor Scofield and celebrate this new chapter together.

River of Life and Friends in Christ’s Call committees with the help of the Circuit Visitors have received a Seminarian from Fort Wayne Seminary…Jackson Scofield.

His ordination and instillation as our dual parish pastor will be July 27, 2025 at Friends in Christ church in Morris, IL at 5:00 pm

Thanks be to God! We are truly blessed and very excited.

Advent service will begin March 12th at 6:30 PM will a potluck dinner before beginning at 5:30 PM. This will continue through the season of Lent until the last mid week service on April 16th. Please bring anything you would like to pass around for dinner. All are welcome.
