We hope you enjoyed the slideshows celebrating Summer Wednesday Ministry at Family of Christ! To wrap things up, we asked Bethany H. to share what Wednesdays mean to her. Here's what she said: "I love Summer Wednesdays at Family of Christ. The come-as-you-are, everyone-is-welcome vibe is a great way to get through the mid-week hump. Our outdoor worship space is just plain cool....If you attended Wednesday worship this summer and did not leave with a full belly or a prize, there’s no doubt you left with a full heart and a smile."

Summer Wednesday Recap: Week 4 of 7! WOW, you all made summer so incredible! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who shared their time, talent, and Wednesday evenings, making Summer Wednesday Ministry happen. God moments were everywhere this summer!

As most of you know, we had a raffle running all summer long, and the winners are officially locked in. However, Staff lips are sealed. Only 3 more days to go until the big reveal, on day 7's recap! We hope you enjoy!

Week 4: We hit the halfway mark with 113 of you in the yard, and it felt like we were just getting started. Worship and whole lot of joy through cotton candy, puppy party, and funny movie, carried us right into the second half of summer. Stick around: Week 5 drops tomorrow.

Summer Wednesday Recap: Week 2 of 7! We will say this every day: Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who shared their time, talent, and Wednesday evenings, making Summer Wednesday Ministry happen! Turns out "doing church" means good people, good food, and a whole lot of Jesus.

As most of you know, we had a raffle running all summer long, and the winners are officially locked in. However, Staff lips are sealed. Continuing for all 7 days, we're counting down our favorite moments from each week, one recap a day, building up to the BIG reveal on day 7: week 7's recap. We hope you enjoy!

Week 2: Round two, same threat of rain, even bigger crowd! 115 of you showed up ready for fellowship, proving that once is a coincidence, but twice is a tradition. The clouds rolled in, but so did the laughter. Stick around: Week 3 drops tomorrow.

Good Friday is not a day we look away from. It is a day we stand at the cross and let it tell us the full truth of how far God's love goes. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

-Betrayed, arrested, on trial: Jesus did not call down power to save himself
-Crucified: even in his final moments, he offered mercy to one who asked
-"It is finished" not defeat, but completion. The work of salvation, done.

Lord Jesus, on this holy and sorrowful day, we do not look away. We stand at the foot of the cross and receive the impossible gift of your love. Amen.

On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus spent his final free hours moving toward the people he loved. "If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." John 13:14

-Washed his disciples' feet: work of servants done by the Son of God
-Shared the Last Supper: giving us bread, cup, & Holy Communion
-Prayed in Gethsemane: honest in anguish, faithful in trust
-Loved Judas so completely: that no one suspected Judas; love beyond our imagining.

Gracious God, make us humble enough to receive your love. And bold enough to pass it on. Amen.
