Some lie at rest in Arlington National Cemetery and other military cemeteries throughout America; others do not. This Memorial Day, we recall the words of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, taken from his Sylvanus Thayer Award acceptance address he gave at West Point on May 12, 1962. His speech not only captures the virtues American soldiers have exhibited throughout history, but honors their sacrifices: ‘He needs no eulogy from me or from any other man. He has written his own history and written it in red on his enemy's breast. Be sure not to miss this powerful interview with retired NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore, as he explains how and why the experience of being an astronaut in space and getting a big picture view of God’s creation can be a very emotional experience. You will also want to hear him give us the inside story about his experience of being stranded on the International Space Station for over nine months (June 2024—March 2025), and why he was not afraid when he realized that he and another crew member were suddenly stranded in space. Most importantly, Wilmore shares the Gospel with the listening audience and explains why each one of us desperately needs a Savior and why Jesus IS that Savior. If you are a mom, we want to express our deepest gratitude to you this Mother’s Day weekend. We appreciate you more than you will ever know. There is nothing easy about being a mom. And that role becomes even more daunting for Christian moms who are faced with the additional challenge of trying to raise children who will love and obey God in the midst of our secular, atheistic culture. In this interview with Focus On The Family, author Natasha Crain offers some hope and some great advice to parents that will help them instill in the lives of their children a solid Christian worldview. She gives some great tips on how to talk to your son or daughter about important topics when the opportunity presents itself. Better yet, how to get them thinking about these topics BEFORE they come up. Some of those topics include questions and doubts that your child or teenager may have about God or the Bible. Other topics include various words and concepts that have been redefined by our culture, such as “love” and “judging.”

There are two competing views to explain how we, as human beings, came to be; either we were created by God, as recorded in the book of Genesis, or we have descended from ape-like ancestors, as the result of Darwinian evolution. According to a biblical worldview, there is only one race of people- the human race. (Our differences in skin tone, etc., are not difficult to explain, as they are simply a matter of genetics). And because we were created by God- in His image- every human being has equal value and worth.
But in contrast to this, the theory of evolution suggests that there are different "races" of people that have allegedly descended from ape-like ancestors, over millions of years, at various locations, and at various rates. (Let that last point sink in). Those who believe that we are the evolutionary descendants of ape-like ancestors are being very hypocritical when they suggest that humans are equal in value and worth, because such a view is logically inconsistent with an evolutionary history of man.
In short, belief in the theory of evolution is largely responsible for much (if not most) of the chaos, controversy, confusion, and division that we are experiencing today over the topic of racism. The fact is, the only real, lasting solution to racism is for us to finally let go of what is turning out to be an outdated, discredited, and unscientific theory known as Darwinian evolution; a theory that belongs in the dustbin of history. Just to be clear, the Shroud is not necessary in order to make our case for the Resurrection. Even without it, we already have very compelling evidence for the crucifixion, death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus as a real event in history. I have a challenge for each and every person who sees this post. If you are an atheist, agnostic, or skeptic, I invite you to watch this video with an open mind. If you are a Christian, I have a challenge for you as well. Many of you SAY you want to "Share Jesus," but you have never actually followed through with that. So, if you really mean it, here's your chance to do so and I couldn't have made it any easier for you. Stop right now and share this video with at least one other person in your life who does not know Jesus, and be sure to ask them to get back to you to share their thoughts on this after they’ve watched it.
In this excellent presentation, Christian apologist Sean McDowell does a great job of explaining for his listeners the evidence which supports the most important event in history- the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. I've provided a link to the video in the comments below.
