Hi Missio! FAITH (Part 2). A word that is often misunderstood. Faith is not blind. Faith is not self-motivation. Faith is not a best-guessed hope. Faith is only as strong as what you're placing your faith in. God has created humanity to trust in Him. Only He is true and trustworthy. Why is it important to examine our faith? Hi Missio! FORGIVENESS. It's humanity's deepest need and God's highest achievement. All of us experience the crushing weight of our sin (guilt and shame). Apart from the work of God on our behalf, there's no release from sin's impact on our lives. What does forgiveness from God look like? Hi Missio! ACCEPTANCE. Being accepted by others is important to us. Being accepted by God is an elevated desire entirely. Yet, in our desire to be accepted by God, we muddle the relationship by doing instead of just being. "Be still and know that I am God." What does the pathway of acceptance look like with God? Too often, we try to gain understanding by starting with us and our position in life. This does not help. Perhaps the answer and the way out of our hopelessness is starting with God and understanding Him. Why is it impossible to discover hope apart from God? What does God offer to those who turn to Him? What does hope look like with a relationship with God? Join us tomorrow for a deep dive into this topic as we look at Romans 3:21-26. We look forward to worshiping with you :)
