The Grove is a young church full of people excited to live out the Good News that Jesus is Lord. It's a movement of Christ-Followers passionate about loving this world and everyone in it. Good morning, Grove Church family!

Wherever you’re joining us from today — here in Chandler or from across the country — we’re grateful you’re part of our online community. We’re continuing our series “Lead Like a Hero,” and today we turn to one of the most powerful qualities of heroic leadership in Scripture: humility.

Our focus this morning is “The Humble Hero.”

We’ll be watching how humility shapes the life and ministry of John the Baptist — a man who knew exactly who he was, and exactly who he wasn’t.

John’s words, “He must become greater, I must become less.” reveal a hero who leads not by elevating himself, but by elevating Christ. Scripture shows us again and again that God draws near to the humble, gives grace to the humble, and works through the humble. Heroes in the Kingdom aren’t defined by spotlight or status — they’re defined by surrender.

As you worship with us today, open your heart to how God may be calling you to lead with humility, to step aside so Christ can step forward, and to trust that true greatness begins with lowering ourselves before Him.

Good morning, Grove Church family and friends!

Whether you’re joining us from right here in Chandler or tuning in from somewhere else today, we’re grateful you’re part of our online community. We’re continuing our series “Lead Like a Hero,” and this morning we lean into a powerful truth: heroes don’t just act differently — they think differently.

Today’s message, “Think Like a Hero,” invites us to look at how Scripture shapes the mindset of someone who leads with courage, humility, and conviction. We see a consistent pattern: heroic thinking is Christ‑centered thinking. It’s a mindset anchored in perseverance, grounded in truth, strengthened by grace, and focused on serving others.

Paul’s letters remind us that the way we think determines the way we live. Heroes in the Kingdom aren’t defined by status or spotlight — they’re defined by a renewed mind, a steadfast heart, and a willingness to follow Jesus wherever He leads.

As you worship with us today, open your heart to how God may be reshaping your thoughts, renewing your perspective, and calling you to lead with heroic faith.
