First Methodist Church of Chandler is getting started on our Fall Festival. It will be on Saturday, October 24th from 10 am until noon. If you would like to volunteer to help out with the festival, please contact Evelyn Haws. We are also taking donations of bags of individually wrapped candy to be given to the kiddos who attend the festival.

Celebrate Recovery: Life's Healing Choices is an 8-week, biblically based program designed to guide participants toward wholeness, spiritual growth, happiness, and healing by making eight intentional choices that address emotional, social, and personal challenges.

The program begins Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the FLC,
and continues 8 weeks on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. First Methodist Church, Family Life Center, 204 Highway 31 West, Chandler, Texas.

Childcare will be available, if needed.

The cost of the study guide is about $20,
or less if we are able to buy in bulk.

First Methodist Women's Group is starting a new ten-week Bible Study on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. They will meet at 6:00 pm at the Family Life Center, 204 Highway 31 West, Chandler, Texas.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in a local Bible study group. The following is a short description of the book they will be using to guide the study.

"How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us?"

"In three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth."

Maggie suffered a traumatic brain injury on Saturday, Aug 29th due to a horse-riding accident. She is currently in ICU in Tyler but will be moving to a neurological rehab center within a week or so to continue her recovery. How Can You Get Involved?

If you or someone you know is in need of yard work, paint, light construction, porch/wheelchair ramps, please scan the smaller QR code to apply for project assistance.

Show up ready to work, Saturday, October 17th, at 7:00 am, at the Family Life Center. Have a bite of breakfast with us, get materials and information, and head out to meet the clients and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Everyone from 7th grade youth to adults is welcome. Scan the larger QR code above to volunteer.
