Sarah and her family at the Semicolon Society Su***de Prevention Week Gathering and Vigil which is designed to provide a safe space for community to gather to connect with resources, engage in healing and connecting activities, and remember those we have lost to su***de. The entire event is completely FREE, and everyone is welcome!

The Schedule

5-7pm (Indoors): Mental health resource expo, live music, engaging activities, specially designed henna tattoos, food, t-shirts, and therapy dogs. There is NO COST to any part of the event.

7-8pm (Outdoor courtyard): Candlelight vigil to remember those we have lost to su***de. Candles will be provided, and misters will be present to keep everyone cool.

The Music

Bitter Creek Band is a local Chandler band that plays rock, blues, and more. They will be performing an upbeat connecting set from 5-7pm as well as an acoustic set during the candlelight vigil from 7-8pm.

Join us–UU’s from across the state!--for a UU the Vote Solidarity Summit — a regional interfaith justice training and gathering designed to build the relationships, skills, and shared strategy needed for this moment.

Move from: Individual/Collective activism to Organized Coordination;

Move from: Rapid response to long term infrastructure

Across faith traditions, we are increasingly called to respond to authoritarian violence, community harm, and democratic crisis with care, coordination, and action. These gatherings create space to strengthen our capacity for justice-centered organizing, deepen regional relationships, and root our work in the spiritual values that sustain long-term transformation.

"When I need a god"
This Sunday will be what has become the annual summer service of poetry written by Anne S. and coordinated by Rebecca R. The theme this year is based on the title to Anne’s poem “When I need a god.” We’ll explore the many ways to experience what is holy.
Poetry in music will be provided by Meg P., Bobbi R. and Tricia A., and a women’s ensemble. Please join us!
