Today we celebrate the life of VLC Chandler. For almost 11 years, it’s been part of an amazing community of churches. It’s a sad day for all of us, but we look forward to see what God has in store. We will have lunch afterwards with burgers, hot dogs and all the trimmings, sides, & desserts. Join us this morning at 10:30! As always, we’ll have coffee & donuts for you!

Just a reminder ➡️ Tomorrow our Resurrection Celebration will be held at The Rusty Mallard (address in the comments) at our usual time of 10:30 AM. We will still have coffee and donuts ready if you want to come earlier. We will also have a Photo Booth as is our tradition for families and friends to take pictures together. We will have a time of worship, and a message of the Hope we have in Jesus! Afterwards we’ll have our annual Easter Egg Hunt.

My dad, who was a Baptist pastor for over 50 years, always said “He IS risen!”. And he corrected people if they said “He WAS risen.” I asked him one day why it mattered. He told me that, doctrinally, it doesn’t really matter how you say it, but that He IS alive and seated at the right hand of the Father, so He IS STILL risen and will never die again and we can have that same risen life NOW!

⚠️⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ There is snow on the ground and more to come! We’ve made the decision to cancel service this Sunday for the safety of our congregation. Our hills to and from the church are always a problem.

In preparation, we have a pre-recorded Part 3 of the How to Read the Bible Series, done by Pastor Duane that will stream at 9:30am & 11:30am tomorrow morning. We are posting the link on our FB pages and will be sending it through text message a couple of minutes before so you can join us virtually from the comfort and warmth of home.

Ladies, this is always an amazing and refreshing conference hosted by our Durant Campus. If you can possibly go for ANY of it, it will be worth your investment. It will be Thursday night - Saturday afternoon. There's no fee, and you don't have to register. Just come! If you would like to carpool to Durant, or share room/airbnb expenses, please let me know.
