This Sunday is the last Sunday of FAMILY MONTH! We are excited to share with you that this service will be an ALL-FAMILY WORSHIP SERVICE. So ALL classes will meet in the sanctuary. We will have nursery available in both services still.
So come join us! We will worship together, get in the word, take communion and then for anyone that wants to stay after Loud service we have Discover Refuge. This is a time where you can hear from our pastors and leaders to find out what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. Plus there are opportunities to sign up to serve! There will be lunch and daycare provided.

Today, after finishing our very long study on the book of Romans, we started our new series on Artificial Intelligence (Ai).
Often times when new technology comes, Christians are left questioning whether these things are good or evil, a harbinger of the end times or whether this is prophecy unfolding before our eyes…
Today we determined what Ai actually is, how it works, and how it was created. We understand that this is not a new concept of technology and this technology has been around for a while. But with greater advancement in this field, mainly surrounding autonomous thinking and decision making, has left many with questions. We will continue to explore as we continue in our study.

Today we read and discussed Romans 13.

Particularly, as Christians, what does it mean to be in submission to governing authorities? Where does authority come from and who holds ALL authority? For the sake of consciousness, doing well on the sight of governing bodies, gives glory to God.
We are to be model citizens, while firmly established in the Word.

We welcomed a few new students to class and are excited to watch them grow in relationship with Jesus. If any parents have questions or feel pressed to share their children’s hearts, please send us a message on Facebook.

Today, in class we continued into Romans 12. What. A. Chapter. We discussed our different roles in the body of Christ, each having a specific function and assignment to help the body of Christ function as one whole unit.

Verses 9-21 are ways in which we are to actively BE that body, through: genuine love, humility, hospitality, zeal, not returning offense for offense, prayer life and living in harmony with one another. All this was beautifully modeled through Jesus’ life on earth.

We had a lot of class engagement and we are thankful for young, critically thinking minds after God’s word, rather than the culture of our time.

We will be out of town next Sunday. Students are welcome to stay in service with their parents and listen to the word of God in “big” church.

Today in class, we explored Romans 10. We discussed how Paul emphasized the importance of faith in Jesus, not just following rules or trying to earn God's approval through actions. He made it clear that salvation comes from believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (v 9-10).

We talked about why this chapter—and the whole book of Romans—still matters, especially for middle schoolers today. Chapter 10 reminds us that you don’t have to be perfect or have everything figured out to have a relationship with God (THANK GOD!). In a world where it's easy to feel pressure to fit in or prove yourself, Paul’s words remind us that God's love and acceptance are available to everyone who believes—no matter your age, background, or what mistakes you've made.
