The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion is the first and only approved Marian Apparition Site in the United States. In 1859, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared three times to a young immigrant woman named Adele Brise, introducing herself as the "Queen of Heaven." She left Adele with a message - to offer her communion for the conversion of sinners and to teach the children what they should know f

or Salvation. Ever since the Blessed Virgin Mary's apparitions to Adele, a chapel has been on the grounds of the Shrine, marking the sacred space where the Queen of Heaven appeared. In 1871, it was miraculously spared from the most deadly fire in American History that swept across Northeast Wisconsin - the Great Peshtigo Fire. On December 8, 2010, the Bishop of the Shrine's Diocese, under the authority of the Catholic Church, approved the Marian Apparitions and miraculous events that took place on the grounds of the sanctuary as Worthy of Belief. Today, the National Shrine continues to be a sanctuary for those who seek healing - both physical and spiritual; and a sanctuary to those who seek a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

“NO MEDICAL EXPLANATION”.

In 2024, the unthinkable happened to the Jedwabny family. Their son Brett suffered a traumatic brain injury, and doctors warned he likely would not survive the next 24 hours. But their community came together in prayer, filling hearts with hope and praying the Rosary for Brett and his family.

Then, something incredible happened.

Brett survived.

Doctors had no medical explanation, but the Jedwabnys know the power behind their prayers.

This year, the Jedwabny family led the Children’s Walk to Mary at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, the first and only approved Marian Apparition Site in the USA, as a heartfelt thank you to our Blessed Mother for her intercession and love. This year, more than 10,000 people came together for the Walk To Mary in faith, prayer, and hope, sharing stories that remind us all there is hope in times of darkness.

We made our Mother proud!

Thousands bore witness to their faith, walking 22 miles to our Blessed Mother on a pilgrimage of strength, prayer, and sacrifice to encounter Christ through His Mother.

If you walked or prayed along, know this powerful moment inspires others and brings them closer to the Lord.

Our Lady of Champion’s message to Servant of God Adele Brice was to gather the children in this wild country and teach them their faith. That is what we did: gathering together, teaching others our faith by example.

Thousands of cars drove by. Countless people saw the witness online. Hearts were touched.

Keep the fire alive. Share the story of Our Lady of Champion and help carry on the mission of Servant of God Adele Brice every day in your lives. As everyday we continue our WALK TO MARY.

Our Lady of Champion, pray for us.

Who wouldn’t want to walk to Our Mother?

10,000 people took to the streets for a mission that doesn’t stop at the Shrine. It is a fire in our hearts.

Each day of our lives is a step toward Our Mother and toward Heaven.

The Walk to Mary is an example that our faith is alive, thriving, passionate, and inspiring. Walking together in the streets, praying, singing, and filled with joy became a witness to every car passing by and every person who stopped to encounter Christ through His Mother.

We all want to get to our Blessed Mother faster…

10,000 people will Walk to Mary on May 2nd.

But this isn’t about getting there quickly, it’s about slowing down on purpose. Walking, praying, and letting Mary lead us to her Son, one step at a time.

From St. Joseph to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, where Our Lady appeared in 1859 to Servant of God Adele Brice.

Help us share this beautiful opportunity to grow spiritually with our Heavenly Mother.

If you cannot join in person, we ask you to pray for the thousands taking on this “American mini Camino”… strengthening not just their legs, but their souls.

Our Lady of Champion, pray for us!
