After Divine Service on the past two Sundays we’ve said farewell and Godspeed to many dear brothers and sisters in Christ. They are graduating and moving on from UniLu and the fellowship of our altar. Thanks be to God for dear family in Christ!

This morning we participated in the WALK fundraiser for Living Alternatives Crisis Pregnancy Center. The PRC operates a full-service facility in our building, serving the University-area population. Currently they are open once a week. It’s a joy to support life!

Come to the Ascension of Our Lord Divine Service at University Lutheran Church in Champaign on Thursday, May 14, at 7:00 PM. We'll joyfully celebrate together this significant feast of Christ in the Liturgical Year. “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

We said farewell and Godspeed to our brother, Josh, this past Sunday. He has blessed us with his fellowship the past few years, and also with his wonderful organ playing for some of our Divine Services.

A couple Sundays ago we welcomed Tommy into the Lutheran Church, and as a communicant at our altar, through the Rite of Confirmation. Welcome, Tommy! Thanks be to God!

Our choir loves singing the Gradual on Sunday mornings in the Divine Service. (Alleluia! Christ is risen!)

Alleluia! Christ is risen! It is always such a joy to worship together during Holy Week, culminating in singing “Christ has triumphed! He is living!” on Easter morn. Thank you to all of our musicians, cooks, egg stuffers, and ice cream scoopers who made our celebrations especially festive.

A smashing success! At the 2026 Martin + Katie Conference, attendees learned about the virtuous life from Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Boyle; talked in separate breakout sessions for men and women with Dr. Boyle and Rev. Michael Schuermann, and Mrs. Nikki Boyle and Mrs. Katie Schuermann, respectively; played all sorts of fun games; ate delicious food; watched the Fighting Illini make it into the Final Four; and had many opportunities to make new friends and get to know each other. On Sunday we celebrated Palm Sunday together, and studied 1 Corinthians 9 in Bible Class.
